Mike you only wait for my rant because I talk sense and I'm interesting to read
I hear what you say about Roman being in control, I did actually mention it in the post before, but if Roman is running it, why would he start sacking everyone? Wouldn't make any sense.
I know Carlo is a greedy bloke and only came for the money, he is passionless, spineless, gutless... Maybe Roman likes them like that. I wouldn't blame Roman for running it if he was, hell if you lot owned Liverpool and pumped 600mill into it I'm sure you'd want to manage! Lol.
I'm sure though Carlo picked that squad against United, and you couldn't actually pick a worse team and use worse tactics. Its like he deliberately wanted to lose. Set out to lose.
I questioned his ability when we won the league tbh, Lampard, Drogba were dominant last year and I think they drove the team, not Carlo or Roman. Lampard out for most of season has left us a bit empty I feel, great loss. There seems no passion now at the Bridge, players don't try hard enough and its a real shame.
If Kaka comes to chelsea I will be more worried, another lazy, greedy player who will flop. I hear he was going to Tottenham anyway for 25m.

I'd also like to mention due to the big Ronnie / Messi debate we had running...
League Goals -
Ronaldo - 33
Messi - 31
Now you have to give credit where its due. I 1000000% believe if Messi played for Madrid he wouldn't score as many as Ronaldo has, and believe Ronaldo would outscore Messi all day long.
Messi has 10 more assists than Ronaldo in the league and this is what is the difference. Messi is a Winger/forward, whereas Ronaldo is a goalscorer. Don't get me wrong, Messi is special, I just feel for Ronaldo because people think Messi is "SO" much better when he really isn't. I would call a tie
Another interesting stat is that Barca have scored 92 and Madrid 91, will be interesting who manages more goals out of the players and teams.

Did you see the dribble from Messi yesterday against Levante Derry?
He out muscled 2 defenders, and then in the same process battled the ball past them, dropped the shoulder past another then got his shot off. Unfortunately it hit the outside of the post and went across goal and was cleared but it was just magical!!
Anyway the main news is.
KK has signed a 3 year contract! Long live the KING!!

That Messi dribble.
The difference is Messi can do things like that whereas Ronaldo is less deceptive, and would probably be on the floor after the first tackle.

When is UEFA's balancing the budgets thing coming in? A bunch of you will be in trouble if they actually implement it lol.
To be replaced by German dominance in the Champions League...

What really worries me at the moment, is now City have pretty much established 4th spot and Champions League position, if you combine Champions League + 200k a week wages, that to me signals big trouble. I honestly think City will start to take over if they buy right.

If and when the fair play rules come in the Bundesliga is going to dominate football for a long time.

Suarez......one of the rising football stars who started playing in Groningen. Ronald and Erwin Koeman did that in mid 80s. Arjen Robben in the late 90s en Suarez aorund 2005. Groningen picked him up in a favello in Uruguay. He played up front with Erik Nevland (former Man Utd and Fulham)....in the first season we got around 10 penalty kicks mainly caused by diving of Suarez....normal buisness in Southern America he said...
A 7 min compilation of him. Nice to see he is playing good in England.

Not exactly football related but it brings back memories for me of what I consider to be a much better footballing era before the money madness took over!

Europa League final tonight (been watching Sky Sports News and not one mention of it all day) on channel 5.
It is going to be an interesting game. 2 very different clashes of styles - Porto more expansive with the quality of Falcao, Hulk, Rodriguez, Varela, Guarin, Moutinho and under probbaly the most exciting manager about Andre Villas Boas (worked under Mourinho, has managed Porto to an unbeaten league run this season)
Then Braga who are very defensive and have some very agressive players. I know first hand from going to watch our Europa League exit to them at Anfield that they are a tough bunch of players, all who put their body on the line for the cause.
Not the most gifted team you will ever see, in fact they are quite average. Loads of Brazilians in the team who would never make a Brazil squad in their life.
The longer it stays 0-0 the more chance Braga have, but if they conceed early I could see 3-0 to Porto.
Looking forward to it myself, and hopefully players like Jermaine Defoe who for some reason sees himself as above such a tournament catch the celebrations of whoever wins it.
Players like Defoe who have won nothing in their career seeing themselves as above such a tornament makes me laugh, he would rather finish 4th than win a trophy. Everything that is wrong with football right there!
I would be very happy if Liverpool make 5th this weekend, and quite annoyed if we do not.
Anyhow, Porto to win tonight

(To the punch)
I know I saw the game on TV! He's being cited for it.
The Rugby Board are looking at footage and are almost definitely going to ban/punish him.
I think this would be great to see in Football, would be perfect for it, so no one can get away with anything.
Also, Rugby has the video-ref, so it's the better sport in more ways than one - because it has that, and it's played by men, who can take those sort of punches and stay stood up.

footy would be played by men if it wasnt for the foreign influence
rugby is only played by select countries as a number find the game 'too violent'
so you only get hard men in rugby
football gets the south americans

Agreed, back in the days before all the money and foreign people, that's when Football was the man's game, as people didn't care

I feel today is more exciting than a race for top of the league
I think Wigan will give us a great match today, and if they have got enough passion then they will walk away with the Victory
To be in the bottom on final day must be horrible, knowing all you can ask for is 3 points and hope somebody else does the work for them.
Going be a good dayyyy
