- If you want a player with skills, you pick Ronaldo.

- If you want a player who will score goals game in, game out, you would choose Messi, as he can create a goalscoring opportunity from anywhere.

- If you want a player who will get back and help out in defense, win the ball back etc; you would choose Messi.

- If you want a clinical finisher from 30 yards out from a free kick, you would pick Ronaldo.

So right now, IMO, it's 2-2 ... But here's the one that wins it...

If you want a player who is honest, non-diving, committed, doesn't rant and rave if the decision goes against him, you choose Messi any day of the week.

And that's what wins it for me, and that's why I believe that Messi is definitely the better player.

Yeah, it should be great to see how Utd. back four go against Messi, Villa and Pedro

We're the famous Stoke City and we're going to Wembleyyyyyyyyyyyy

After today performance it will be a very intresting final!

The last 4/5 games we have played great and I don't care what people say about our style..

How many times did chelsea try the long throw... arsenal even tried it

Everybody wants to be able to do it but they all just make me laugh with bad efforts

SCUM!

Most over used word in the football fan dictionary!

Stoke wanted to win that far more than Arsenal, Arshavin is the perfect example of what is wrong with that club, - no pride for his shirt, unwilling to put in a shift.

Utd now 19 times winners of the league title, hopefully this will give us the kick up the backside we needed, John Henry get your hand in your pocket in the summer! I'm sure he will.

Priority for us next season is to win the league, nothing other than that.

I don't think you wil win the league but you will be back up there definatly

My long term prediction QPR in 2/3 seasons top 6 team!

I'm guessing between 4/800 mil will be spent over the 2/3 seasons making them the joint standing biggest spenders in the league along with Man City

And for Stoke! This season 8th would be a great achivment and F.A Cup Final victory is what we want

Next Season do something decent in Europe and finish top half again

QPR haven't actually spent much getting to the premiership, they have a few old players who i very much doubt can make the step up, so they'll need to start spending the huge cash reserves Mr Ecclestone and Briatore have. (However if they do decide to get rid of Warnock for a Italian manager I hope they get relegated with nothing, and go into turmoil :p)

Stoke's recent run is still going, really hope they can turn up for one more game this season and beat City at wembley! Fancy stoke to do well in Europe to be honest, will be very tough to beat i think.

Liverpool could finish 5th this season, and get Europa, meaning Thursday nights and therefor Sunday games, we'll always be chasing whoever we'll battling for PL postions with as they'll most likely play their weekend fixture before us, could in theory do more harm than good. (if you see where I'm coming from)

My hometown relegated after a run of like 1 win in the last half off the season, (lol) Least we might win a game in League 2. We sold our captain in Summer who now won the league with Brighton, let our top goalscorer go on a Free Tranfer! and our other main goalscorer go in January, (albeit for a nice fee) So we lose our Captain, and the 40 goals our 2 strikers scored last season. Going from playoff finalists, to bottum of the league. :S (Fully expecting us to bounce back up again like a few years ago)!

We probably wont win the league, but if we don't then it isn't acceptable, 20 years without a league title is most certainly not acceptable.

5 years without a trophy is also not acceptable.

RANT TIME!

UEFA need to pump more money into the UEFA Cup. Similarly the Carling Cup because they are beeing seen as micky mouse competitions, which I think is wrong.

Not long ago these competitions meant quite a lot, Liverpool have done very well in both of these cups in the past.

Now however fans, players and managers see these as 'getting in the way' til they reach the later rounds.

Alot of it stems from having a top 4. My Dad (Man City fan) has just been trying to convince me he would rather finish top 4 (which carries no prestige, yet gets you in the CL - which dominates top flight football throughout Europe) than win the FA Cup.

IMO Champions league football should be for champions, UEFA Cup should be for 2nd place and cup winners.

Now we (Liverpool) should finish as high as possible (4th still 1% possible and should be our aim) and if we finish 5th then cool, the Europa League is a huge part of our history, we have won it 3 times, and we are proud of doing so.

My point is this, Champions League obsession is spoiling fans, its CL or failure, and now finishing 4th is seen as better than actually winning something, I think that is very sad.

Yeah, you went down with the other crap from the west country

I can see you and the Gas staying down there for a season or 2, find some decent players who will, in return, get you promoted once again.

I can't see City getting into the playoff's for another few seasons. They need Maynard to stay fit for a full season, and they need a stronger defense, which is what has let them down this season.

I have to say, I completely agree with the post above. You are right on the money with every point there. It's become a race for 4th or higher, and it's ruining the Premier League.

--

As a Liverpool fan myself, I would actually prefer Liverpool to finish 6th this year. As said above, the Europa Cup, or whatever it's called nowadays lol, is going to be a distraction and a nuisance for Lpool if they wish to be a threat for the title in the coming season(s).
Yeah, it might be a good time for King Kenny to let the younger kiddies and reserves have a taste of first-team football, but for them to grow as players, they need to have some top-class players to teach them through it all, which will in end, make them tired and unfit for the Prem, which should be our main priority this year IMO.

we need europa as european football is a big factor in attracting world class players to the club

get in it and lose a qualifying round or play the reserves only

use it to attract some more quality to the club and have done with it

I think saying he's one of the best in the world is a little bit of an exaggeration. He's good yes, but not one of the best.
