Can I quote you greatest ?
This is a thread about Carom, please keep it on track.
No need to post about killer on a Carom thread.
You made your point about no rank filter on another thread, I'm sure Nick will find it soon enough and respond on that thread.
Keep on topic
Yeah the lag should change but not the break, I think the break is legal.

off topic go away
carom is updated enough, lets be honest only a few people play it,killer has no rank filter which it undoubtedly should.
maybe so and i have agreed to a killer rank filter but we are talking about carom here.
the "cheat break" isnt a real problem if it gets changed
"cheat lag" however has been a thorn in the side of most people since destiny invented it and will bring some fun back into carom.
as for points maybe keep it 5 for newbies but unlock 10 as an option when you lose newbie status which means it will be 10 in tournaments too?

Can you not spell or something ?
You go on at people how they are stupid, then you can't even spell my name right, and it is posted above !!
And why do I need consent to quote you when you quote others ?

Ye boyler, i think there is a problem there.
At break, hit red - first thing - then any cushions etc
P.S thanx for the compliment dgeneratio ! And for the new idea about 10 points.

Official Rules : http://billiardsystems.com/gamerules.php
5. Break Shot. (1) The opponent's ball is placed on the head spot. The player's cue ball is placed on a spot six inches (15.2 centimeters) to the right or left of the head spot. The red ball is placed on the foot spot. (2) The player executes the break shot by stroking his cue ball intending to contact the red ball first. Failure to contact the red ball first is a foul and the player's inning ends. (3) On subsequent shots either the red ball or the opponent's ball may be used as the first object ball.

I'm loving YOU are loving this thread Cuey !
Carom loves you too ! Fact . -
Nick is so active these days, so i decided to re-open the issue, after your previous 'attempt', hoping that it will finally get the attention it deserves. We got luckier this time.. :P
Not that Nick didnt care before, but, timing is everything sometimes!
I'm also posting LAG rule:
Official Rules : http://billiardsystems.com/gamerules.php
4. Lagging for the Break Position. (1) Each player selects a cue ball, which is placed on the table within the head string and the head rail, and then strokes the ball to the foot rail hard enough for it to return to the head rail. The balls in lagging may touch the side rails, though it is not required. If the two balls touch while being lagged, the player whose ball strayed across the center of the table will loose the lag. If a player's ball hits the red ball, or if the player's ball jumps the table, he will loose the lag. (2) The player whose ball comes to rest nearer to the head rail wins the lag. (3) The winner of the lag has the right to the break shot or to assign the break shot to the opponent. (4) The winner of the lag has the choice of cue balls, which is then used for the duration of the game.

That sounds pretty pap new devil
Just about every person who plays carom uses that lag shot so be interesting to see what happens when it is changed.
