Balls have been made a bit more polished to emulate how they look in real life.

Daily reduction has been reduced to 0.5 following feedback both on here and pool.

Plus a few other changes and fixes, in particular the cushion inaccuracy error reported.

if its the same bright balls on pool then i am not keen on that particular update but the other updates are great.

Got to admit that not so keen on the new balls - it must be something to do with my screen but rather than looking shiny, they actually appear grubby to me (especially the spin select ball). Will probably get used to it but personally think that the original balls looked better (and more realistic)

the spin ball looks like a block of ice, the glossy balls might be bright for colour blinded people.

I agree with both of you and i think the spin ball is hard to see

My spin ball has been like that for awile (not bothered about that)

The glossy balls, on the other hand, look less real now than they did previous to this update. They look plastic and flat as opposed to previous when they almost looked as if you were actually looking down on real 3D balls.

They also look like they are sliding now and not rolling. (except the power ball and dotted carom balls which look like they are rolling due to the dots moving)

Agree with the others here. The balls look patchy, over-glossed, and overall less realistic than they did previously.

Good job on the other updates though.

No one liked the balls on pool for the first 2-3 days with a lot of whining over there about them.. then people just became used to it like you will in a few hours..

Also (again this is highly subjective and probably particular to my resolution, etc.), but there seems to be an increase in 'flat-topping' of the balls making them look squarer - this will always be the case but seems more noticeable now. In particular, the green on the spot looks (to me) as if there is a chunk missing off the top - more apple shaped.

Here is a pic but, as I've said it is highly subjective and may not be noticeable unless you have my eyes (which are old and bad) and my screen (which is almost as old)

Yeah, as I said, I'll probably get used to it. It was the same with the change to the previous balls, there was a lot of moaning (though I liked them )

just like everything people dont like they get use to it like VAT increase lol but thats only cos theres no choice give people the option for the old or new balls id opt for the old

Lol ... but but not an accurate analogy as one is grudging acceptance of a fait accompli and the other is a change in subjective perception of an optical illusion through familiarity. An option would be nice though

Just pulled up a random snooker youtube video and compared the balls to what we have here. I have to say they do look fairly similar, especially the glare aspect!
It will take a lot of getting used to. At the moment (on pool too) I'm just having trouble telling where the ghost ball ends and the target ball begins. The ball where we select spin should however go back to what it was before, it needs no glare lol. edit: I think the same counts for the "ghost" ball that you aim with.
I'm very thankful for the points reduction decrease! Was tough to break even at the moment...

Overall I like the updates! The balls might need a few small improvements, but I like the idea

Im the exact same.

Don't particularly like the new balls, they seem to look more pixeled to me.. and makes the game look less professional IMO

Whilst I generally find the changes for the better, I have to add my name to the list of "bring back the old balls", or at least give us the option please.

The new ones look almost shabby (for want of a better word), less classy than the previous set in my opinion. I don't find them shiny, and as per whocare's comments, the spin ball didn't really need to be changed.

I like the new balls, the spin ball looks grubby but I would like to keep the current balls

Maybe give the option as baff mentioned
