Convallaria majalis is a species of plant I am not familiar with but Mr. Google tells me it is Lilly of the Valley.

Lily of the Valley is a fragrant flower with small, white, bell-like flowers. It is usually found in woodland, and is given as a good luck present in France on May Day.
