in principal its not a bad idea, im not sure how the rankings would work but im sure nick could sort that out.

this reminds me of the raise points in carom to 10 thread where someone suggested selecting what to play to but far as i remember it got positive feedback from those who played it.

i rarely play power so it wouldn't make much difference to me but those who play power on a regular basis it will help and may even get more people playing.

i know, people who think its a bad idea, dont have to choose a shorter time.. it was just a idea, as i know a lot of people saying they dont like 15 minutes.. so i thought i would be the one that speaks about it lol

15 minutes is Perfect amount of time. And FYI, You're always arguing with people who dont agree with you.

for the last time, were not changing the time.. 15 minutes would still be there but you could add some more time limits for people that dont like 15 mins

Shortening the shot clock limit from 20 seconds to 10 seconds or 5 seconds.

This way you can shorten the overall time of the game.

Say 20 seconds = 15 minutes
10 seconds = 10 minutes
5 seconds = 5 minutes

How is it any different to being able to choose the shot time limit on the other game modes?

Can anybody construct a post at to why this is a bad idea? Other than "terrible idea, burn him at the stake"?

This is a good idea. Make the maximum shot limit a minute and extend it to:

40 seconds = 20 minutes
60 seconds = 30 minutes?

I was thinking about bigger time limits per shot and not too sure it would work. There has been 4 cents hit in one game on 20 secs per shot imagine 60 sec and only taking say 10 sec and have 30 min time limit.

You may see 7/8 cents in a game and that would just be ridiculous, where as putting the shot and time limit down just means you gotta play quicker.

I like power but i never play it because it takes so long, reduce the time!

should be enough time to be able to get 2 frames played IMO, bit unfair if you dont get the break (especially playing someone good), dunno how u work the time out on how long it would be tho

I know 15 minutes is too long for people, but shortening the time would make it a very fluky game, where one snooker off a breakoff can kill it off already.
Also, the argument that people would constantly be running the clock down is convincing.

i think i would be good if you could choose a time limit for the game personally because i like power but i get bored after ten mins
