So i went into a game room, and i was doin sumthin else already so it started, but i didnt know it was 5 sec...so im doin my other thing and when i came back it removed me for 3 idle shots.
Now i know about that rule, but it was 5 sec, everytime i missed he gave it back to me so if im not there for 15 sec lol then its game over for me! So that happend first game... i go back to play him, still i dint know it was 5 sec shot clock.
So i go back n start again, but i was doin sumthin still, so i look back at game and i have fould twice already and it is my turn counting down. So i missed my shot and again lost 2 in a row now due to him giving me a shot back, i miss he gives it back then i miss again n he gives it back again, then i miss n its game... all so fast.
Thats cheating in my book

When you play it does state 5 Second clock
Also, why wouldn't he do that, if I new I could get a 5/10 minute match done in 15 seconds then fair play to him.
Just I think you need to pay more attention next time you get involved in a 5 second clock mate

in 5 second games ALWAYS focus on the table and think about your shot before balls finished rolling then gives you 5 seconds to put spin on aim and shoot

The only thing here that could be argued about is the fact that if you're sitting in a room and someone joins, the game starts automatically after the timer runs down. I think the game shouldn't start without both players clicking yes.
But yeah, about the fouls- pay attention.

If I'm aware that someone is away or wtv..I miss as quick as possible, so they get timed out...lmfao, not cheating...its just silly for the other person to stay in the game room playing...when they're not there, kinda their own fault...

like in private room you mean?
person who didn't click "yes" should be kicked out to members bar but on the other hand why go into a game knowing it will start if you don't do anything in those 20 seconds.

If someone rings the doorbell while I'm waiting for an opponent in a game room, I don't think the game should automatically start. If the timer on the yes/no option runs down, the default choice should be no, not yes.

^^ It was put in place to stop people creating a game then wondering off and doing something else, if people didn't try to do other things whilst playing then it wouldn't happen. If the door bell rings and you decide to stay in the room and the game starts then thats your own fault. It would be common sense tho to go in the members bar until you get back.

15:56 Sat 17 Sep 11 (BST) [Link] I'm not talking about people in-game. I'm talking about when you've created a table but have not started a game.
Whats wrong with people creating a table and wondering off? Is there a difference between them hanging out in a game room or the member's bar?
What is the reason for starting a game automatically without having to click yes? When that happens, people are away sometimes and get timed out (because they haven't said yes to a game!).
Also, if the phone is ringing, I instinctively walk to the phone instead of bothering to change my setting to member's bar.

I have already explained the reason in my post why the game starts automatically, if you don't understand then i will explain it again.
It would be extremely annoying if you had to sit there and wait for your opponent while they have gone off doing something else, whats the point in creating a game if you have other things to do?
Get a cordless phone and have it by you so you don't have to move when it rings.
In my opinion people who can't stay off this game while they are busy doing other things are very sad.

Ok, that's your opinion. I completely disagree. I don't have to horde everything i may need at some point around my computer just so I can make sure I'm definitely there once an opponent shows up. Maybe I can move my fridge next to my comp as well so that I don't have to get up to get a drink?
What should happen is the same thing that happens when you click 'no'. You watch the table and the other guy takes control. The game shouldn't start automatically. Remember, you only have 30 secs to be there. If the doorbell rings, it will take me longer to go there, see what's going on, and come back.
I don't think that by creating a table, it automatically commits you to playing the game. Clicking 'yes' commits you to it.

You are the one who has a major problem with it, is it that hard to deal with?
It seems to me that you need to get out a little more!

ah see, instead of being able to discuss something like a normal person, you've resorted to this...... keeping it classy.
and by getting out more you mean other than my job and uni?

There is nothing else to discuss. If the doorbell rings simply go to the members bar to avoid losing by default.

Wins and losses should be given out for played games, not for someone having to leave for 1 minute. What if your kid starts yelling, what if your mother falls down the stairs, etc etc etc.

If you create a game and then go off doing something else then you should be punished for it, and thats the whole point of the game starting automatically. I only play games when i've got nothing else to do hence why this has never happened to me before.
If my mum fell down the stairs the last thing i would be thinking about is this game, this game means nothing to me. It seems like it means everything to you, remember you don't have a future from playing funkysnooker, win or lose it doesn't mean a thing.

17:54 Sat 17 Sep 11 (BST) [Link] Exactly, so why not have the default go to 'no' instead of starting a game?
In all the examples (of which there are hundreds), you don't expect do be doing anything else. Again, why should you be punished for creating a table? I just don't see a good reason.

9 times out of 10 it will be the users fault for messing about doing other things, and i don't think you would be worrying to much about losing a game of funkysnooker by default if something serious did happen.
