why does this site,keep logging people out,every night its the same,my final has just been ended yet again by the rubbish server this site continues to use.this used to be a great snooker site,but myself and plenty of others are getting sick of losing conection several times a day,site should be renamed funky is not responding

Weird how everybody seems to be experiencing connection problems on a regular basis, however I have never experienced any problems at all.
Maybe it's something to do with tournies that is causing these problems? I don't play tournies so that would make sense.

I think if people continue to disconnect throughout important games due to server problems then it's important that Nick does something about it.

no mate its not just tournies,im losing points on a regular basis because of just being logged out during any game

The common misconception that when some people get logged off it's the server. It's only the server when every user gets logged out.

sorry m8 dont by that,the millions of other web pages work fine,i sometimes listen to music when i play ,im never logged out of there or any other site for that matter,and ive heard many others say the same thing,ive always been a premium member in the past,but i wont pay for a service that is sub standard

As I've said, if the server was playing up, all users would get this. Simple as that. It's somewhere down the line which doesn't affect all users.

not had problems with it apart from yesterday when it was down all afternoon, otherwise, its not the game, it must be something to do with your java connection, or another server problem.

Yesterday afternoon it was the server hosting this site, as everyone was affected by it I believe!

Damee is right, if it was only you that disconnected then it's something on your end, and not the server.

you mention my java connection,but have you not seen x is not responding,y is not responding,im not having a go mate,but it is a common sight every day,im not a computer man to be honest,but i do have a top spec brand new computer,and as i have said using java on other sites is just not a problem

wasnt only him i got DC aswell in carom final

its the server bout half a hour ago everyone got log out . 1 of my friends were in carom tourney final

also seen budweiser say in the forum as something to do with the server

When every single user gets logged out, then it's likely to be the server. When some stay on, it isn't. My diagram will show this perfectly.



The pink blob is the funkysnooker server, the black/grey lines all connections down the line. Now I suggest in this case the error occurred on one of the other coloured lines.

I understand what you're saying damee and agree that it can't be the server if some are still online.

But how do you explain that other game sites don't seem to have this problem (at least not frequently)?
Are you saying that funky is completely powerless to prevent a large portion of users (not all) from getting logged out simultaneously?

Different websites come from different lines, chances are some other websites were affected, but no big websites, probably just a few unknown ones, which haven't been spotted by any other users.

Cool, so there's nothing that can be done about it right?
