I dont actually agree. Not because its a Chelsea player, just isnt a red card.

He wins the ball?

Not to point out he isnt off the floor, gets the ball and then they kick eachother.

Also the clear factor he uses one foot...

Which is completely irrelevant to the point at hand! Lol

That is the problem with the game these days though. Lack of consistency.

The Johnson tackle to one ref would have been a straight red another a yellow and another nothing. Same applies to the videos shown and the Kompany tackle. Until some sort of common ground is found and acted on and the same outcome for the tackles is produced then we will always have these arguments.

I am rather bored now of everyone saying every Liverpool fan is biased etc, I come on here and be as mutual as possible while sharing my opinion.

High foot stoods showing and nearly snaps his leg. The intent seems to be there although you could argue that is just his momentum. Straight red in my book worse than Kompany's in my opinion.

Does he win the ball - Yes

Does he challange two footed - No

Is his body off the floor - No

Intention - To win the ball

Is he in control - Yes

Was it reckless - No

Studs Raised - No (I know it looks as if they are, but you cant tackle with them un raised) But if you monitor the form of his foot, his toes arent pulled back therefore his studs are in the natural position for a challange.

----

Glen Johnsons -

Two Footed - Yes

Outcome - Straight red card.

Thats all that counts lol. You could mention his toes are raised back, his body is off the floor (therefore he has no control to pull out of a challange whereas Terry can pull out and is in total control)...

So his studs raised, has no control, its two footed and his body is off the floor.

Its the worst tackle you can possibly commit on a football pitch. Its worse than a scissor challange, a stamp, a full on kick. Its a dangerous and 'illegal' tackle to make.

Cant believe you actually bothered putting Terrys challange up?

Weak.

Terry actually caught the player in a dangerous way and and with the force behind it could have caused some damage.

I bet if you was to ask Terry after looking at the incident himself he would say it was a bit miss timed even if it was only a mili second. Do you think he meant to catch the ball with the back of his leg nearer his knee than his foot? I think he went in a touch early and it could have caused a major problem. I also think his studs were up and showing but we all see things differently I suppose.

Mike I think that last video was a bit silly to put up.. Everyone can clearly see that Bosingwa got the ball :s

And nah Seb, I saw that live and had it on my favourites when it came on Youtube haha

To be honest it has just your point of view into perspective.

Lets remind ourselves

This Glen Johnson tackle really sums up why I dont really like Liverpool fans in general.

Then you go on to defend an actual potential leg breaker like Terry's.

Look if you go actively looking for reasons to hate something you'll find them.

Lets face it, Derry. You hate Liverpool because you don't understand us, and you've hated us for a long time, well before Glen Johnson slid into some random 200K a week City player and the club came out and said good tackle anyhoo.

Wigan and Blackburn 12 and 13?

Did you construct this yourself by any chance?

Looks like it.

Aston Villa 4th? All they do is make the atmosphere uncomfortable for their own players by booing at them all game.

Everton 3rd? Their atmosphere is dire. They just moan and swear throughout the game!

Sunderland fans are better than that as well, and to be fair United have vocal away support most times.

Wigan, Blackburn and Bolton fans are the pits, but they would probably be better if they weren't tiny Lancashire towns who barely win a throw in.

Hope all 3 of them go down tbh. Replace them with West Ham, Southampton and Leeds and it would be a far better league.

Actually the only teams to take note of are the top 6. The rest are all as bad as each other.

By the way I'm not judging this on fan support alone. It's just a list of teams that I like/dislike.
So I like Newcastle best, and Chelsea worst.

I noticed that when I never saw Arsenal in the bottom 3. They are terrible.

Terry's tackle: Tough to say, but probably a red nowadays. That's a completely different situation to the Johnson and Kompany tackles though, so not very good for comparison.

Bosingwa's erm..... can you really call it a tackle lol? Red. He just shoved his studs into Benayoun's back haha.

I don't know the details of the Rooney elbow last year. But I'm guessing the referee saw the incident and actively decided that it didn't merit a yellow or red. If he puts that in his report (or however it works at the top level), then it can't be overturned. You can only overturn the decisions if the referee either didn't see the incident or decides in hindsight that he was obviously wrong.
That's why you can give a ban after watching the video for spitting, slapping, punching etc since the referees usualy miss those in a big fight. That's also why yellow cards are never turned into reds after the game- the referee has made the active decision as he sees it at the time.

Johnson's tackle: I finally saw it (but not after lyle's video popped up). Same sort of challenge as Kompany's. The only difference is that Johnson's tackle is aimed clearly away from the player, whereas if Nani wouldn't have jumped out of the way, he would've been destroyed by Kompany.
I don't think he could've complained too much with a red though. When will players learn that you can't leap off the ground with your studs showing??? It's really simple, everyone knows it. Don't do it!!

Feel like ripping my eyes out watching Liverpool V Stoke.

A 5-4-1 of Liverpool up against an 8-0-1-1 of Stoke.

Glad L'pool drew today. Now we just need to beat QPR and we'll be up to 6th.
