No way Chelsea should have won that. Ref was there 12th man.

Not seen them but apparently both offside. Very rarely Martinez is critical of officials but he's just said they were robbed today.

Feel sorry for Wigan, they need every point they can get their hands on.

At Liverpool we can afford to be shat on every week by the refs!! But Wigan need points.

Don't worry the unbias Chelsea fan is here.

The first goal was a yard offside yes, I can see how a Lino can get confused, so many Chelsea players were offside, Luiz makes an onside run, and when Invanovic puts it in the net, Luiz is within touching distance of Branislav so... Lino may have gone on Luiz's run.

Basically, when a corner is knocked in and the balls headed away, the defenders rush out... they done this and Chelsea kicked the ball back in, 3 Chelsea plyers were offside... was quite easy to spot. Ivanovic was the most offside player too... but like I said, Luiz running through the middle can be the only thing the Lino went on.

Terrible decision.

Our second corrr, Drogba edge of the box, chips it to Torres, unmarked at the back post, he right foot volleys it accross the keeper, smacks off the bottom of the post and Mata thrws his body at it, it hits him and goes over the line haha.

To be perfectly honest, I was waiting for the Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham fans as well as the teas that hate us anyway, to be like "Omg poor Wigan, Chelsea are so sick" blah blah... when I have ranted all season about the bad luck we've had. This good luck is only a really small redeeming percentage.

Gutted myself, Preston done me for £120 in the last minute. Equalising goal v MK Dons.

I needed Liverpool 2-1 and WBA 2-1... for £7500. I had Newcastle 2-0 and Reading 2-0 yesterday. It was 2-0 WBA and 1-1 Liverpool I was like PLEASE! Haha

Also had 2-0 Cisse yesterday at 60/1. Loved it.

Everton done me for £400 aswell. I needed 1-1 for a treble and typically it was a score draw, just 2-2.

Liverpool also ruined my £425 return for 'exactly 3 goals'. Chelsea, Sheff Utd, WBA and Liverpool...

Most importantly, for these bets, I'm only spending like £1-3. Bloody bargains. They are 00's or 000's/1.

Chelsea win, Spurs draw, Arsenal play City... pretty good where Im standing.

Semi finals of the CL.

Semi finals of the FA Cup.

3 points of 3rd in the prem.

I've been to 4 Wigan games this season. That is 4 more than I have gone to Liverpool!

They play some good football but have been robbed by referees most of the season, referees have fobbed them off and they need to stay in the premier league.

They are not good enough to be screwed over and survive, it is good for Chelsea to be closer to 4th but Wigan need to stay in this division for as long as they can, because once they do go they aint coming back, ever!

The officials aren't screwing us and Wigan over on purpose (i hope) but every week they seem to want to make it look that way!

Today for us we had about 4 penalty claims waved away, a goal not given to which I am convinced it crossed the line and Suarez being booked for having his foot stood on.

All this from Michael Oliver, the fella who didn't give a penalty to Blackburn against Utd when Carrick up ended one of their players.

I like Oliver too, think he is a top ref but he has had a horrible week and I don't care much to see him again on Liverpool games.

The best lines person this league has to offer is Sian Massey. She is absolutely brilliant. Never seen her get an offside wrong.

Hello all, and welcome to Mich's weekly rant.

I should start on congratulating Kenny Dalglish for realising Henderson is a Center mid not a right winger, but then he ruins it for himself by playing TWO attacking midfielders in a holding role in front of the defence and having Gerrard (Who can play this role a hell of a lot better) in attacking mid. If he pushed Shelvey up and Had Gerrard and Henderson just behind Shelvey Kuyt and Downing everyone would have been a lot more comfortable. Especially Mr. Carragher who at times got embarrassed by Heskey and Agbonlahor, Flannagan also got tortured which was not good to watch. Culprit number 3 of the defence and the biggest idiot in the team today Enrique, if anyone can tell me if he knew he was at a football game or not that would be much appreciated. He was shocking. Downing was scared to go near their fans or beat any of their players so everytime he got the ball passed backwards (except one or two rare occasions).

We didn't show up for the first 65-70 minutes, we severely miss Kelly, Agger and Lucas but that is common knowledge now and when Agger came on the game had a dramatic change. I think when Gerrard went on the right wing everyone felt better about their position with Henderson and Shelvey given permission to push up and this saw us create more rather than hold onto the ball in midfield and eventually give it away. Kuyt should never be missing sitters from 3 yards out what a Wazzock!

Whether we scored and it never got allowed or not it is besides the point as these are professionals and it was 0-0 at the time, they could have easily pressed and scored a goal against a very poor Villa team IMO with the exception of Given.

Their goal was a very nicely placed shot from where I saw it, don't think Doni had a chance, but I wanna know why Enrique didn't close him down, or if he did why was he going snail pace.

I think if we don't start Carroll on the weekend we are a lot more stupid than we look, EVERY team we start him against marks him out the game using 2/3 defenders, if Everton do this using their 2 Center backs that effectively takes them out the game and leaves Gerrard, Suarez, Kuyt/Bellamy space to attack Hibbert or Baines who is usually half way up the pitch anyway. I think tactically it would be great for us if Everton put 2/3 defenders on Carroll to bully him out the game as I reckon it would work in our favour.

Haven't see any other goals or commentary or whatever from them but I suppose MOTD tonight will be full of goals that shouldn't have been and goals that should have. Decisions that should have been and decisions that shouldn't have. And that is just from Liverpools and Chelseas games.

I think if we are gonna play like this, if Kelly is fit after the semi final, play him CB with Squirtle, D.Agger LB and Johnson RB. Drop Carra drop Enrique. Hendo and Gerrard CM give Sterling and Eccleston a game or two. MAYBE even Morgan.

Oh and why were Kightly and Etherington not sent off for "headbutting" each other? There was a lot more contact there than when Pepe Violently assualted James Perch.

Where is the consistency?

What's the difference between kickboxing and a Balotelli tackle?

They don't wear studs in kickboxing...

Think we all agree there has been some shocking decisions from the fficials this week and they seriously need to look into the whole refereeing union or whatever it is called and maybe have a major shake up because some referees these days look to scared to make a big decision against a "big club" and also give the "big clubs" major decisions that shouldn't be.

It's the linesmen more than anything this weekend with the United/Chelsea games. The contact on Young is debatable, and there will be opinions either way on that, but no-one will argue that he wasn't offside, nor that the first Chelsea goal yesterday was offside. The worst reffing decision i've seen was the no red card for the balotelli attempt to break song's leg.

I haven't seen it but I refuse to believe he attempted to break Song's leg, he is a fiesty and stupid character yes but he doesn't come accross as malicious to me. So to say he attempted to break his leg is taking it a bit far, I have heard it was a dreadful challenge but your wording is a bit over the top!

Oh I wasn't meaning it like that, but it was a straight red without question. Studs up, ball was long gone and straight into the knee.

Mario was really on one today. Went in studs first in 3 tackles and the second yellow was just a pointless tackle.

He's still a great player and I think the likes of Jamie Redknapp are an embarrassment to their profession in putting City's title failure all on a 21 year olds shoulders. No doubt Alan Hansen/Mark Lawrenson/Lee Dixon will stick the boot in further on the Beeb later with no doubt some dribble added by Colin Murray. Think I might not bother watching it tbh, Colin Murray is just terrible on it trying to be 'one of the lads' and embarrassing himself every week instead.

Anyway, back to Mario, if he was English it would be all a different story and the fact remains he has more talent than any English striker bar Rooney presently and he is still very young.

He will become a truly great player, but I don't think he will ever fully mature and Gary Neville was right in saying he should never attempt to tackle!

I prefer listening to what Colin Murray has to say than Mark Lawrenson.
Lawro is literally the biggest idiot in footballing history.
He seems to think he knows absolutely everything about football and whatever he says is more important than what anyone else says. Also the fact that he seems to absolutely hate every single team other than Liverpool is beyond annoying.

His predictions are the biggest joke of all though.. He always writes about 3 paragraphs on one team, and a couple of sentences on the other, and then goes on to predict a nonsensical scoreline which goes against whatever dribble he writes about the clubs, and 90% of the time gets it wrong.

He'll be like;
"Liverpool are doing really bad, blah blah blah" for about 3 paragraphs, and then "Swansea are doing amazing", to seem as if he isn't just interested in Liverpool, and then will go on to predict something stupid like 10-0 to Liverpool.
Obviously exaggerating there but the majority of his predictions are complete nonsense. Quite funny at times though.

I also love how he can't seem to bring himself to compliment Newcastle in anyway what so ever lol. He really hates us with a passion! Even when he comments on our "good season", he'll always throw a sneaky dig in there like "they'll fail next season", or something similar.

@ Barbaycue - I had £2 on the Cisse 2-0 hehe. Got £122 back! Was peachy.

Only went n stuck £2 on Rooney 2-0 today didnt I! Sadly I didnt realise the price, 12/1 so only got £26 back. But a win is a win!

Had 2-0 Aguero...but we won't discuss that haha.

Really gutted Arsenal won n City played crap. Really thought with Chelsea fluking a win, we'd be alright as City would win or draw at worst. 85th minute winner ouch.

5 off Arsenal n 3 behind Spurs now? We still have Arsenal n Newcastle to play.

Remaining fixtures for 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th...

Arsenal -
Wolves (A)
Wigan (H)
Chelsea (H)
Stoke (A)
Norwich (H)
West brom (A)

Chelsea -
Fulham (A)
Arsenal (A)
QPR (H)
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (A)
Blackburn (H)

Spurs -
Norwich (H)
QPR (A)
Blackburn (H)
Bolton (A)
Villa (A)
Fulham (H)

Newcastle -
Bolton (H)
Stoke (H)
Wigan (A)
Chelsea (A)
Man City (H)
Everton (A)

I think Chelsea have the hardest fixtures there...not forgetting we have a semi final with Spurs & 2 legs against Barcelona.

Newcastle dont have easy games, but they only have those 6 fixtures so will be a lot fresher than Chelsea n Spurs.

Arsenal have straight forward games apart from the obvious game V Chelsea.

Spurs seem to have it very easy. I think that whoever wins the FA Cup Match will go on to get the spot maybe.

I'd have to say Chelsea must be favourite to finish 6th considering everything. But I think 3rd is the target tbh...

I think you'll finish 5th. Can't see us getting much out of our last 3 games, and although our next 3 are fairly decent, to win them all would mean winning 7 games in a row, which I don't see happening.
I can only really see us getting 8 points in the next 6 games..

Win vs Bolton
Win vs Stoke
Draw vs Wigan
Loss vs Chelsea
Loss vs Man City
Draw vs Everton
