La Liga really is hotting up now, Barca have moved within 1 point of Real Madrid though Madrid have a game in hand, which they play later in the derby against Atletico.
I really do fancy Barca to win all their remaining games including the El Classico so any more dropped points from Madrid and Barca could catch them easily.
When it comes to the crunch time of the season Barca and United really do become impressive.
Barca have took 30 points from their last 10 and United can't be far off that, think they have won every game since their 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Messi bagged his 61st goal of the season too :O and Alexis looked very good yesterday, so to Isaac Cuenca.

Madrid should manage to hold onto the title they are also on form and can't really see them drop any points.
It's been an extremly impressive season for both Barca and Madrid going to be a good finish for the season
I think the EPL is over now obviously not mathimatically but can we see them dropping that many points this close to the again? Once again it's Fergie time
Villa vs Stoke
Played well got a decent point away shows we can actually go away and do something now I admit Villa ain't exactly on form but they are still a good team to get a point away from home with

What do you reckon the score will be when you play us away on the 21st?

Liverpool have sacked Director of Football Damien Comolli after the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group, reviewed the club's failure in the transfer market that saw high profile and expensive acquisitions such as Andy Carroll contribute to a chastening season in the Premier League for Kenny Dalglish's side.
Comolli was appointed to the position of Director of Football Strategy at Anfield in November 2010, and given a remit to oversee the recruitment of players to the club.
His first major impact was to play a role in the January signings of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, for a British transfer record fee of £35m.
He became Director of Football in March 2011, effectively taking on many aspects of a chief executive's role, though focused solely on the business of playing side of the club.
He was pivotal in the signings of Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam, Stewart Downing, Jose Enrique, Sebastian Coates and Craig Bellamy.
The mixed success of those players, most notably Carroll but also Henderson, Adam and to a lesser extend Downing, appears to have cost him his job.
---
Peter Brukner, head of sports medicine/ science, leaves #LFC. He will almost certainly not be the last to go today
----
The owners are in town and the likes of Ian Ayre, Steve Keen and Steve Clarke (the latter 2 back room staff) look to be in danger too. Kenny is safe.
The timing of this just before a huge derby and FA Cup semi final is shocking.

Looks like the club lawyer has gone, too. Probably Suarez related.
23:01 Thu 12 Apr 12 (BST) [Link]
John Achterberg goalkeeping coach has also gone.
Lawyer was sacked due to not dealing with the Suarez case and other racism cases as good as possible.

Rumours that we intend to replace Commoli with either Louis Van Gaal (ex Bayern Munich manager) or the legendary Johan Cruyff.
I'd much prefer Cruyff who resigned his DoF post at Ajax a few days back I believe but he seems to be living quite happily in Barcelona.
What he did for Barca has made them into the super power they are today. Would really love it if he could implement a similar system here at Liverpool.

Really enjoyed the Championship lately. Southampton V Reading at the moment 1st V 2nd and it is a great game. Reading have been on the back foot throughout but are leading 2-1.
It really is a very competitive league. Much more open than any other league in football I'd say.
The winner will surely be promoted, Reading have been on an amazing run since the turn of the season, with the man mountain Jason Roberts up front and super sub Adam Le Fondre they look a good bet to stay up next season too.
I think Southampton will be promoted as well they have some quality players like Adam Lallana, Billy Sharp (hes struggling atm though) and Ricky Lambert.
West Ham are going to have to go through the play offs I think with the likes of Birmingham, Blackpool and perhaps Cardiff.

Jack I am not expecting anything special to happen to be honest, your current form is really good if we are lucky might hold on for a point but we need to attact you and not just let Cisse and Ba run rings around the defence, if you score first we got no chance if we manage bag 1 first a draw would probably be on the cards! But thats the great thing about Football anything can happen lol
Also you Scousers on here!!! Reply to my thread under General chat lol am going Liverpool Friday any of you out on the town or recommend a really decent place to go? I've been a few times just want to know where the locals go lol

A lot of lads on nufc-forum.com reckon it'll be an easy game for us... I think I'm the only geordie who actually reckons we'll get beat lol. If Liverpool win today though, then we get Europa league football... Which means we'll put 100% effort into finishing 4th, so fingers crossed for today!

You seemed pretty confident about a win against Stoke here lol. I think you will beat them tho no doubt, Pardew had the tactics spot on when you played them away, and I'm sure he'll play exactly the same when you play them at home.
I think you'll finish 5th. Can't see us getting much out of our last 3 games, and although our next 3 are fairly decent, to win them all would mean winning 7 games in a row, which I don't see happening.
I can only really see us getting 8 points in the next 6 games..
Win vs Bolton
Win vs Stoke
Draw vs Wigan
Loss vs Chelsea
Loss vs Man City
Draw vs Everton

Yeh feelings change the closer to the match you get lol.. We're doing well, but our run has to end some time, and Stoke are a strong team. I have a feeling it'll be "one of those games".

See i've got a sneaky feeling we will be 'one of them games' for you but on recent form you can't compare, when you look at Man Utd tho doing amazing in the league they get to Wigan away and lose it just shows this part of the season you really don't know what's happening.
If Everton win today Newcastle need 4th (I believe) so then I don't think we've got a chance when we play you, but if Liverpool win doesn't that guarantee you a European spot? If so with you having some form of glory I don't know if you will play aswel as you could.

We'll need 5th if Everton win today.
I think if anything, Everton winning will put more pressure on us to get Europa.. If Liverpool win, meaning we get Europa anyway, then we'll have nothing to lose by going for that 4th spot.
