Tough call for the ref that there. Looked like a dive to me by Kalou but then again I don't blame him getting out the way of a two footer by Danny Boy.

Edit: oh the ref has apparenly said it wasn't given against Danny. Horrible decision then.

Brilliant result! Get in there Fulham!
Been a quality day :D

Sunderland get hammered 4-0
Tottenham lose
Chelsea draw
And of course, we win!

I thought Chelsea were the only league game on today! Oops.

Results haven't really gone our way either, we must beat Blackburn tomorrow or our form into the semi final will be very very worrying.

The way Everton are playing surely must make them favourites atm.

Hope so anyway, better value for me when we beat them

Hope to god you do beat them.
Chelsea have been playing really poor lately so hopefully we can stay in 5th for the rest of the season, meaning we won't need to rely on what happens in the FA Cup.
I think 4th is too much for us.. Tottenham haven't been playing great either but they have an easier run of games than us.

So you missed Ben Arfa's goal then.. You best get watching MotD

Without trying to be biased, I think it's goal of the season, but then again people seem to be licking Crouch's bum after a lucky volley (yeh he meant it, but 99 times out of 100 he would never get close to doing that again).
Ben Arfa is just absolutely incredible.. He's scored 2 world class individual goals in 2012, both where he's taken the ball from the halfway line, and just passed the opposition defense like they weren't even there. Incredible talent..

Plus, take a little look at this:

Very nice goal no doubt about it. A player who is exciting and at times infuriating.

If he could play like that every game he'd be world class.

I think Pardew has been excellent with him this year. He's only just started to put him in the main starting line up with Ba & Cisse and the past 3/4 games, he's been outstanding, and made very few mistakes, unlike earlier in the year where he'd never pass, give the ball up too easy, and wouldn't track back to defend. I think he's really starting to understand what's required of him in the Premier League.

So depressing. Really is so hard to watch your team play so bad in a game where winning would take us back into the top 4?

If that isn't a motivator then I don't no what is really.

I said all along Chelsea must be favourites for 6th place. Theres two six-pointers we have against Newcastle and Arsenal, in which losing these games ruins everything basically. But even if we were to manage a win, we still then have Liverpool to play, Spurs semi final and Barca two legs. If we play like we did last night, then we might as well just end the season now.

Surely a top 4 finish is the primary goal? You cant realistically aim to beat Barcelona, its a far away dream. So why we are resting players etc?

Sturridge, not sure whats happened here but Kalou has now somehow managed to be the first name on the team sheet? Im not entirely sure what he has done to warrant this either. One goal against Benfica? Sturridge has the pace and abillity to tear up a defence. Essien in a game against Fulham is crucial, where was he? Drogba playing the last 5 minutes of a game? Whats the point? There isnt anything Torres has that Drogba doesnt, and Drogba can hold the ball up for hours. I'd of taken a 1-0.

Chelsea riding their luck a ridiculos amount, we have been winning against Villa 2-0 and went 2-2 after 80 minutes... 1-0 up v Wigan and Benfica and went 1-1 both around the 80th minute marks...

Surely Di Matteo and Chelsea should have anticipated an 80th minute 1-1?... Only if.

Nice post there Jack.

I've said all along, Mata hasnt been great. Especially for a left winger... haha urm.. been pretty poor. I think I could outpace him after a kebab and 10 pints. He fails to create space and the higher % of his passing is weak. MOTD just shows his good ones.

I watch every Chelsea game... and there has only really been like 3 games where he has been brilliant. Torres about the same. Our best player at the moment is our right back, Ivanovic. He is Chelseas top scorer since the turn of January? He has scored like 5 goals and Im sturggling to think anyone else has that many.

We need to buy some quality players, get rid of Mikel, Miereles... replace Malouda/Kalou with players that are actually good on the wing! Chelseas last winger was Robben. Nothing in an attempt to replace arguably our best player!

Missing Ashley Cole as well, he has been our best winger for the last 6 years... and he is a left back.

We need some young, cocky, arrogance. Some killer pace. Sturridge.

Madness our season, just when you think you're in for a good win, Flanno messes up the game for us.

Poor Doni, harsh red and his Cup Semi Final over before it started.

Madness, I meant to back Yakubu for a £5 to score first goal... ending up betting £5 on him to score a hatr-trick by mistake... he scores 2 and misses a pen! Haha!

Must have been a great price to score 3 tbh. What a fluke that would have been.

Shame I didnt have him to score a brace instead though :( Lol.

Dundee done me in the 83rd minute. I had 5 teams, and Dundee were the only team that was a clear favourite to win @ 4/7... and they are the team to let me down. Typical ayy!?

Ivanovic charged with violent conduct? I havent actually seen what he done? It wasnt picked up live... and I dont watch MOTD... what did he do?!

He punched Maloney when you were playing against Wigan.

Can't have to many complaints, amazing that Balotelli got away with his tackle though.

You should always back Maxi to score, Derry. Everytime he plays, he scores! Very intelligent player who has been criminally underused this season for whatever reason.

Always in the right place for the tap in the lad.

The referee should've seen it on the pitch. They can't go after him now, because the referee said in his report that he saw the incident during the game.

Yeah I read something about the retrospect rule only being used for mainly off the ball incidents, but that tackle was a shocker. If the ref did actually see that and felt it not worthy of even a free kick then he should be sacked.

No way should leg breakers go unpunished. Far more dangerous than a punch to the stomach or a bit of head rubbing.
