I'll trade you the one from 2010 for the one in 1966?

I think it's like 80% over the line. If Andy heads it the other side it's a goal as Cech is wrong footed. Still great effort. 1st goal was poor defensively from Liverpool, 2nd goal Drogba with a cool finish.
Carroll took his goal well, thought he'd lost the chance for a moment then he got it back onto his left and got us back in it, we looked a different team once we got the goal but just wasn't meant to be today.

The lino has guessed. I think it was just over. (All the ball) Impossible call though and one that the lino shouldn't be forced to make.
Sian Massey would have given it. Why doesn't she get the big games? She's the best lino around!
People are being wise after the event here saying Kenny should have started Carroll. Andy only played like that to prove a point IMO and Chelsea could have run right through us with a 4-4-2. Management is tough, and people criticise either way. I think we were the better side throughout but lacked ambition first half yet we limited Chelsea. Other than their goals they created very very little. Think the difference was the keepers in the end. 1 terrible attempt from a keeper who has been poor all season and 1 amazing save (even if it was over) from a keeper in the form of his life.
Fair play to Chelsea 4 FA Cups in 6 seasons is very impressive. Far more impressive than finishing 4th or whatever else people want to label a success these days. (they manage to do both though.) They have won the FA Cup and have the chance of CL we have won the Carling Cup. Either United or City are about to win nothing.
Hopefully next season we win another trophy and progress in the league. The summer will be interesting, I hope there is a change of direction, with less emphasis on English youngsters at premium prices and more on foreign imports. The likes of Gaston Ramirez, Olivier Giroud, Gylfi Siggurdsson and Matias Suarez would be welcomed.

I won't be convinced that it's over until I actually see some kind of picture that shows the ball over the line. In every shot I've seen, half the ball is hidden by the post.
But yes, it's a pure guess for the linesman.
I read Liverpool fans jeered the national anthem? Discuss.

Really?? From what I saw, Liverpool were only good for the last 30 minutes or so. Rest of the game they looked fairly poo.

Yeah that is what I said, I just worded it cleverly
Still though, do you remember a Chelsea chance other than the goals?
Not looked at the stats but I think we probably had the most possession and chances. Chelsea in the last 30 were hanging on and if Carrolls header was given we would have gone on to win the game easily at that stage.
Cest la vie, didn't happen.
Annoying seeing the vultures in the media sticking the boot into Kenny now though. Serious questions 'must' be asked yak yak yak. No the club will decide what the club 'must' do, not you clueless morons. No doubt the same morons would be declaring him a genius had we won the cup double. Ridiculous some people. They must know they are stealing a living.

*Random story alert!*
Getting the train back from Liverpool to Warrington tonight and me and my mate were joined by 3 Norwegians who were completely hammered.
They had just got back from Prenton Park watching Tranmere. Funny guys, basically bullied us into drinking with them and forced a Tranmere shirt into my bag haha. :\
Not all bad news then!

It's already been proven it wasn't over the line so really the linesman did an absolutly amazing job to refuse the goal.
The ball was what 90% over in the line Liverpool didn't deserve anything from that game
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2140349/Andy-Carroll-goal-stood-says-Steven-Gerrard.html (Check out the second photo that's as clear as it needs to be)
Also Man of the Match without a doubt Mata he was unreal was gutted when he got subbed only player on the pitch for both teams that actually did anything effectivly apart from Carroll when he came on.
The most annoying thing about yesterday was so much of a huge build up for a let down performance Reina should of done better on the first goal but one on one your always second favourite as a keeper was good to watch!
United need to win 10 - 0 today to have a chance is it possible

My team Karlsruhe avoided direct relegation into the third division of German football. As 16th, they play the relegation playoff against the third-placed team from third division to see if they remain in tier 2 or go down.... those games are on Friday and Monday.
We're crap. We have 1 good position player and a good keeper. We conceded the most goals in the second division for the last 2 seasons and only narrowly avoided that dubious honor by keeping 5 clean sheets in the last 7 games.
At least the team we have to play now is crap too.
Glad you're all interested!

the line and that is correct anyway isnt it?
18:47 Tue 8 May 12 (BST) [Link] It's not actual footage though. Anyone can draw a ball and move it forward frame by frame with any decent program...

This.
There's no way a little scrappy animation like that is proof.
Nobody will ever know for sure, but it's common sense to see that clearly some of the ball hasn't crossed the line.
There's always something with Liverpool isn't there, they always have to be in the limelight lol

The media put us in the limelight, we don't do it ourselves. It's not our fault the whole of England has this weird obsession over us.

i know that, but common sense says the ball was in anyway:
1. the camera isnt on the line
2. the ball is the far side of the goal so it is further right than it looks
3. the snapshot show the ball when it isnt touching cech's gloves, so it is not showing it at the furtthest point to the right
