Suarez hat trick goal of the season to finish it off

It was a brilliant goal no doubt about it but it defo won't be goal of the season, on goal of the week...

Suarez 21%
Cisse 63%

Lol, hands down. I don't think any other goal this season comes close to Cisse's!!!

See I completly agree ^^

Was discussing it with a few United fans yesterday in the Casino and i'm saying how amazing Cisse's goal was and surprisingly the majority were saying Crouch's goal was just as good if not better for how it happened.

I definatly think it's between them two for goal of the season tho, can't think of another goal I would put up there.

Crouch's goal was good but Cisse's goal is mind boggling. The way it swerves, and at that angle, with the keeper still on his line... Everything about it was just magical.

There are 4 goals in my opinion that are battling for goal of the season..

Cisse vs Chelsea
Crouch vs City
Suarez vs Norwich
Ben Arfa vs Bolton

Out of those 4 though, Cisse has to win it hands down surely.

It's funny though because for Cisse's first goal, the commentators were banging on about how it could be up there as one of the goals of the season, but then after his 2nd nobody has even mentioned his first lol.

Jack_pot I cba to put long replies anymore haha so let's just agree to disagree, and say neither of us won the argument...

This is coming from a Sunderland fan, if Cisse's goal doesn't win the goal of the season there's seriously something wrong. Not taking anything away from the goal but I wouldn't rate Ben Arfa's a possible GotS contender, good goal.. but terrible defending. Crouch's goal is the only one that comes close but I still expect Cisse to win.

Was just coming on to say how awful Liverpool have been, still think that even now, got lucky with the goal because of poor defending by Bosingwa, but to be fair was a good finish by Carroll... even if he is a Mag. Would also love to see Henderson score, really like the lad, hasn't really happened for him at Liverpool.

WHAT A SAVE BY CECH :O

I want goal line technology. I want to be absolutely sure that didn't cross the line. Sickening the performance in the first half. Absolutely horrible, weren't even trying.

Carroll MOTM best player on the pitch for 35 minutes.

Excellent save by Cech.
So what would Liverpool's season be classed as now?? Still good because of winning the Carling Cup, even with a mid table finish??

Great second half performance really. Hard to take the fact we lose the game but it was a great effort.

Experience won the game for Chelsea I'd say, the likes of Hendo and Spearing still very young to be playing together in an FA Cup final against the likes of Lampard and the engine of Ramirez.

Conceded twice on the counter to Chelseas only attacks of the game with neither side willing to play expansively.

As soon as Carroll came on it changed the game. Completely dominated Terry both in the air and on the deck and very unlucky not to have got the equaliser. Motm clearly, but Mata was apparently. (Didn't see him have a kick!)

As for the second 'goal' i'm not sure tbh. Either way the linesman is guessing and as I've already said football needs to get a grip of itself.

When pretty much every sport on the planet including snooker and cricket is using technology then alarm bells should be ringing.

Really feel weird in that i'm not particularly gutted. I went into the game knowing we would struggle with Spearing/Hendo in centre mid and Downing and Enrique on the left (who do not work at all together as an attacking weapon) and that was the case. However once Spearing went off we battered them. A bit more ambition earlier in the game we would have took them today.

As it was the game summed up our season. Nearly, but not quite.

So we have failed in the league and failed in the FA Cup and go away as league cup winners. Slow progress has been made.

Poor season, but at least we have some silverware which is better than last two seasons.

End the season with a bad taste of what could have been in my mouth.

Disappointing but better than last season, won a cup and qualified for Europa League, I would like to say the team look like they are playing better together now but that's not the case. We have missed Lucas something rotten and had to pin our hopes on Spearing and Hendo who are still learning the game.

Carroll has had a decent last few weeks for us and seems to be getting stronger by the game, liking the look of him recently.

Today we went out with a view to defend and hit Chelsea on the break, which backfired majorly. Enrique was outpaced and Pepe should never be beaten at his near post. Skrtel had the ball go through his legs in what was a fantastic finish from Drogba.

The goal that maybe should have been but shouldnt? Well if the officials are not completely sure they cant give it simple, but there should be something in place to see whether it went over the line or not. Worked in our favour in 2005 with Luis Garcia, worked against us now, I know which cup I would rather have won sure but still gutted about this one.

You cant go into a game and not try at all for 55-60 minutes then play the last half an hour, that is not the attitude of a top team, that is the first thing that needs to be changed the teams attitude.

Just one thing to say about today, well done Andy

Of course you're going to think it was over as the majority of you lot are Liverpool fans wasn't over for me... About an inch more and it would have been, fact is though that Liverpool were poor apart from the last 25-30 mins just as they've been poor all season. Can't plalike that against an in form Chelsea side.

(pretty much what Mich said really)

I have to say that as a linesman if I had any doubt I wouldn't give it. Technology has to come in.

alex- you look at that picture and think it's over?
Either way, close decision.
I think FIFA are moving in the direction of technology now. Again- as long as it's instant, I'm fine with it. As soon as you have to stop play to review it, I'm against it.

well in rugby it only takes 30 seconds max, and they have harder decisions so as long as all prem league grounds have big screens, should deffo be implemented

Yes because the camera shot isn't directly in line with the goal line if it was it would show the ball being minimally over the line.

But then again you are German you guys never were good with the concept of a ball being over the line if it doesn't hit the net.
