Well, they do it by the numbers... England had a pretty good qualifying campaign for the Euros I guess.

For some reason they've reduced the significance of the Copa America on the rankings but kept the Euros the same. This results in the South American teams dropping down.

No big surprise really when you consider how bad a manager arsenal have

He had to move if he ever wanted to win a trophy as arsenal consistently go backwards under wenger

What a start to the season losing 3-0 to West Brom...

First goal, we defended well from the corner and headed clear but what a strike from Gera who for some reason was left around about 25 yards out with no one within 10 yards of him.

First penalty, not sure the push was in the box myself there was a slight push, enough to warrant a penalty? Not sure. But that saw Agger sent off and I think it was a bit harsh. - West Brom went on to miss this. (Very poor penalty)

Second penalty 3-4 minutes later, Skrtel gets caught in possession and Long just goes down, not sure Skrtel even touched him, definately in my eyes not a penalty but it was given and we have to deal with it. - West brom score this one.

Third goal, Liverpool's defence head just stopped playing after what they believe to be unfair treatment with the penalties and a simple cross was converted by Lukaku.

There was a few positives to look at though, Borini seems to link up with Suarez very very sweetly and Allen just slots in very nicely and it doesn't disrupt Gerrard or Lucas. Downing looks very sharp and looks a threat.

The three real negatives I saw were Suarez and Agger look like they need a few more games to get back into the swing of things, and we need to not have a defeatist attitude no matter whaat the scoreline or what decisions the ref gives. Also we need to work on defending more as we were caught on the break so many times and had very few players back to help out.

I was watching Liverpool and the Stoke game today mainly concentrating on Stoke, but Liverpool you could imagine been on commedy Central after their performance.

Ok the second penatly I would not of given but Suarez missed a cracking sitter to get yourselfs back into the game, and these are the goals teams like Liverpool thrive off if they could get the scoreline to 2-1 then definatly would never rule them out for a point.

Stoke today played rather well with passing the ball not to many chances on goal but in all fairness you don't expect to many watching us. We managed to hold a 0-1 lead basically all the way up until the 90th minute, then they have 1 swift attack and Whitehead who at this point should of been subbed 20 minutes prior decided to do a stupid tackle giveing them a penalty and himself a red card (And5 mins to go definatly don't want this) I need to see it again though as i'm unsure actully how bad it

2 minutes later they have a fantasitc freekick scraping the bar final score 1-1

On posession and shots it was a deserved score their first prem game we didn't expect to much.

Didn't see the game but 2 penalties, a red and a screamer against you in one game doesn't leave you with much to go off. Dunno if the pens were pens but Phil Dowd loves to be centre of attention so was probably j!zzing himself at the chance of starting the season with a bang.

The problem we have is with the games coming up there isn't really time for a settling in period for Rodgers, our new recruits and our new style. Think we have City, United and one of Chelsea or Arsenal coming up at home in the next 4 weeks.

Apparently Joe Allen did well though which is something. Can't believe Downing is still getting games either. He needs to be dropped.
Off Radio City tower.

So far this weekend I've had to watch Warrington lose 62-18 and now MOTD is ruined too.

Mehhhh.

Gera goal was class. First pen was fair and Agger was last man so had to be sent off how ever minor the offence. Second pen was a bad call imo.

Suarez continues missing chances, after the red we got overan nothing we could do. I would put this game in the same class as the Tottenham away game last season. Bad performance but little we could do to change it.

Why Cole is on the bench ahead of Sterling beats me. Sterling could change a game with his pace, all Cole does is get injured.

LIVERPOOL = A sleeping giant that seems destined never to wake up

How can they win cups , be champions of europe etc but fail constantly to win the premiership

Not a Pool fan or a fan of any other english team but for goodness sake get your act together Pool and put these Manchester clubs in their place ( 2nd is where they belong ) and as for Arsenal ( pmsl , that is all )

I actually thought both pens were fine. The first one is a silly and obvious push. The guy was already past him, so no need for the push.
The second one, the striker nips in and poke the ball away, defender thinks he's still kicking at the ball and clips him. It's unfortunate, but a foul.

Just plucked up the courage to watch our highlights. Both were pens for me though Skrtel was unlucky and Agger on Longs was similar to Torres against Wigan that Ramis cleared off the line.

Suarez needs to sharpen up in front of goal too. Ridiculous how good he is up until the bit that matters where he then fluffs his lines consistently.

Still think we need another striker if we're not gonna give Carroll another go. Damiao had a great Olympics and would be a good focal point for our attacks.

We play Hearts tomorrow tonight and then it is City on Sunday so the games are coming thick and fast and Borini and Suarez will not be able to play in 3 cup competitions and the League so something will have to give.

Suarez Gerrard Skrtel and I think it was Reina not travelling to Hearts, also it seems Damiao to Spurs is near enough done so we have lost out there too as he'd have been a cracking signing.

Have heard whispers though we are back in for Sturridge(Who shares same agent as Walcott), and with Sahin to Arsenal pretty much a done as well with Arsenal also going for Jesus Navas who has received treatment for homesickness, it looks like Liverpool could be back in for Sturridge and Walcott...

What do you reckon then on Walcott and Suarez on the wings with Sturridge the main man, also the deal for dempsey looks like it could be done for around 8m.

I reckon we should leave the Dempsey deal though and get a experienced CB/LB for cover as we seem a bit stretched there already and only 1 game into the season. We are also apparently looking at Herrera who had a fine world cup with Mexico, but as far as I know that's all rumours and United are favourites to sign him.

That's all without mentioning Adam Johnson too.
