If I was Di Matteo I wouldnt accept the Chelsea job full-time.

Yes he did exceptionally well but am I the only one to think he had a completely different job description to AVB?

AVB was asked to completely change the team around and start from scratch. He tried to do that and failed. RDM was asked to keep the ship from sinking completely until the end of the season before a new manager could be found.

Is he the right man to re-shape the squad?

Can't see him getting the job tbh. Harsh but thats the way I see it.

Still not convinced he had to big of an impact tactically. Perhaps he got them playing less open and defending a bit deeper than AVB tried to do.

More than anything I think the players just liked him though and didn't like AVB.

All I know is that the sly digs by ITV all night aimed at AVB wasn't called for. He has already achieved a lot in the game as Mourinhos eyes and ears and on his own as manager and deserves better than Adrian Chiles and Clive Tylsley laying into him!

I miss the days commentators just commented on what was happening with the game. It seems these days they feel duty bound to give us their opinion too. At the very least they could leave that to the ex pro sat next to them.

Not sure why it's not on the BBC yet (the only English outlet I check lol), but German media are saying that Drogba said in an interview yesterday with a French football magazine that he's leaving Chelsea for sure.

I'm just hoping its an error tbh. I can't let Drogba leave! I won't let him. Ever since he joined Chelsea, all the supporters hated him for being a diver, for being bigged up and playing crap for the first season. But I was his number 1 fan from the moment he signed to us.

I think Chelsea have messed up by buying Torres, just for the £50m. Its such a heavy investment and I think Chelsea were trying to build round him. Which is totally the wrong way to do it. Thats why AVB was so crap. He was trying to focus on Torres but Sturridge is greedy and wanted to prove his point. So many times Danny could have gave Torres a tap in but didnt. AVB was a terrible manager, the worst I have ever seen in my life at any club. So I really don't mind Liverpool getting him.

Drogba was nearly 4/1 to score anytime in that game as well, monsterous price.

We didnt and dont need to reshape our team. It was perfectly fine the way it was. Lampard still bangs in the goals, Terry still makes those tackles and Drogba never fails to deliver when it matters.

We can get a Hamsik/Snijder type player but thats all we need. We are the champions of Europe!

I've tried getting the news for Drogba & basically what I have gathered is... He has told Chelsea he is ready to leave, he told all his team mates and he also told the French magazine.

But he said he is okay to leave, because he doesnt want to sit on the bench as he feels he has at least two years left at top level.

Chelsea are only offering him a 1 year extension but he won't accept 1 year and he also wants first team. But because Torres has thrown his toys out the pram, he has also demanded first team.

Seeing as they apparently can't play together... Drogba has been contacted by numerous Champions League teams. Apparently the Spanish giants are after him. Which I would then understand why he would leave.

But I think Chelsea would be so stupid to let him leave as a free agent and not give him a 2 year contract. He just won us the Champions League!? We made him sit on the bench game after game and he stayed loyal and determined to make Chelsea succeed.

Same with Di Matteo, he doesnt need to change anything at Chelsea. He doesnt need to re-shape the team. So he should ask for a 1 year contract and then after this year Chelsea can decide if Robbie is the man to reform the Chelsea team.

Made up for you and Chelsea, actually jumped up an cheered when you lot won it. Amazing celebrations, love all that! Same with City, cheered when they won the league! DROGBA - what a machine he is, he's the perfect striker. He definitely has atleast 2 more years left at the highest level. It would be a perfect send off to leave but then Chelsea aren't Chelsea without Drogba, he's carried you lot so much!

I don't think Di Matteo's the right man for the job, i meann thats going to sound mad but i think the players tried that extra 10% just to prove a point about AVB and if they did offer him the job Chelsea won't be anywhere near winning the champions league next season. He SHOULD get the job, his CV is amazing but he isn't the right man for Chelsea in my opinion.
