Very simple idea, surprised its not already a feature really.
Just to have the added stat of winning streak on your profile. It would be great to see how many games in a row you'd won and create interest with new ranking tables - highest current streak and highest max streak. I'd in particular like to see it for killer games (cos i cant remember the last time i lost one!)

Unless you had to play someone within 50 points above/below your rank. Then that would stop 900's playing 600's for a longer win streak.

Just shows how good you are...if you play sum one who is pro and lose..then your streak stops.

Rank is taken into account by the players probability of winning the frame. This would also have to work in the same aspect... especially if it were played for rank.

Also, look at how the tournament's have turned out since rank was introduced to them. I believe if it wasn't for the fact there are alot more tournament's now these days (before the introduction of hourly tournament's) there wouldn't be that many people entering them. IMO. And there are 600 ranked players with cents! And that's due to the fact they only play in tournament's... for rank.

I thought, keeping the players you can play to increase your win streak being 50 points above/below your rank was a good idea. As that would prove how good you are rather then playing some players on 600... when your 800+.

The winning streak is probably the most 'practical' suggestion that has ever been made. i.e it could be implemented tomorrow without much fuss.

1, IMO = In My Opinion

2, He means that the 8-900's will probably play a lot of 600's in order to gain a higher win streak, there for if they only play someone within 50 rank above/below then it would be a lot fairer as they will have similar abilities, rather than break and clear which a lot of 8-900's can and do, do.

i agree with ry on this one about the 600s aspect i mean sure anyone can clear on an arcade table but on orig unless they are a resetter the ranks are quite genuine, i remember playing 750 or under to reach orig virtuoso, i wasn't proud of it but that was only way i could do it.

on Arcade you tend to play those higher or close rank to you while Orig most players play the low 600s.

don't get me wrong i like the idea but has too many flaws.

about probably implemented im not sure on that as i have come up with some better ideas which would benefit the site which only 1 has been implemented plus nicks probably too busy anyway.

In terms of everything but gameplay, I think funkysnooker has pretty much reached its peak, unless nick wants to have a total overall of the appearance of the site..but it maintains its 'family friendly' function quite well. Maybe attention needs to be turned back towards gameplay instead..

As for 'people will play lesser ranked people to get big streaks' ive one word........ So?

Huddersfield Town this year went on like a 45 game unbeaten run in the League... is it meaningless because it was in League 1 against weak opposition? Course not.

When I was on my way to the top of the Oringal Leaderboard I won alot of games in a row and I would of liked to see just how many as a nice lil fun stat.. as well as when I won like 6 Power Tournys in a row

Taking it a bit too seriously me thinks....its just a fun stat...... that we would like to have...... i think if it went to a Vote people would vote Yes to have this lol

I just don't think there's really any point it's not needed

What do you define as "needed"? Is a list of rankings needed? Are 3 different sized snooker tables needed? Are tournaments needed? Is a forum needed? (Most online pool/snooker games don't have a forum).

Nothing on this site is needed, it's just there to make the place more enjoyable.

If you want to know how many in a row you have won, go on your results page and count them.... If you want to make a record of that, post it on your profile.
