exactly what i been by it's not needed

A carom practice score isnt needed but for some reason we have that....

It was intended as a method of encouraging more players to play one of the 2 least popular game types. The fact that 100 shots takes far too long can be looked into. Many things aren't needed but we have them!

I'd much prefer this than a new game type just to try and prevent tapping for sure, this would be a lot more useful in my opinion.

Besides... people only think about how many they have won in a row... when they have won alot in a row.. ie More than 3 days worth. My undefeated Oringal Snooker streak lasted more than 2 weeks.

if i remember once i think it was unexpected who had a 200+ win streak on original

i thought of a work around for this, maybe include rank into this somehow, not thought of a good enough system but maybe something along the lines of points won in a row without losing, or maybe have a score like average points won in last 10 frames etc. you know what i mean

Its been mentioned before and yes its a good idea.

But like Jeezy said on the first page, there has to be some sort of scale.

50 points apart, 100 points apart, something like that. It would also need to be ranked matches.

The only other thing (which I have just came up with and think is better)....

Is where it says "Win Streak - 42"...

It would also have next to it in brackets how many ranking points you gained in the period.

IE - "Win Streak - 42 (17.9)

As this will pretty much determine and seperate the men from the boys as if I were to play a load on 600's I would gain very little rank and have gained maybe 20 ranking points. Whereas if someone had won less games in a row than me, they still may have aquired more ranking points as they may have beaten 30 virtuoso ranked players and earned 40 ranking points.

If its just for any win, then it will be completely useless as it will mean absoloutly nothing. So theres either a scale or its not implemented.

A tournament based ranking table. Not just for throphies, but for longest winning streak over a succession of tournaments.

Finals win %

Total ranking points earned from games

Lots of other things as well. This would be a great insight to arguably the USP of funkysnooker - tournaments.

What in heaven's name has Huddersfield's win streak got to do with this!!!

Huddersfield played people in their own league, you didn't see them beating Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea etc. Hence why i said, 50 points above/below your ranking. As Derry agreed with me... there has to be a scale of some sort. Especially if it's for rank! Else, i could just play my mates in friendly's and stack up a massive win streak. Would that really resemble my talent or actual win streak... The answer's no.

People are taking it too seriously??? I think we are just debating it at the mo.... If it's just a fun stat, stick it on your about me then!

Is it really gonna cause a problem if somebody plays their mate and accumilates a Current Streak = 509? If thats what they wanna do thats up to them lol who cares? But for genuine players (ie 99.9%) it would just be a nice additional stat.

I am currently 930 on Original. Does this Rank resemble my actual Original Snooker talent? The answers no.

For the main reason with everything mentioned on the forums... it always goes down to the majority of votes against the minority.

The majority of players will see this as just a "fun stat" to put on their about me. Like all your "fun" statistics plastered on yours.

I think if you came across my profile and saw id won 50 thousand games of Arcade in a row, would you be bothered? Would anybody? I think if anything, people would want to 'end the streak's... although if you think about it... if someones won 38 in a row... this might encourage tapping from them... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm lol Retract retract!!! haha!

And OIY YOU! I like my additional stats! I like to know how many finals ive been in and when I last won a tourn of that discipline and any other statty things!

If this were to happen, this is what would cause the massive uproar. Look at the threads being posted about tapping alone... it will be the main topic for the next few year.

Yes but it only show's up to so many mate....that's a big issue.
