No mines fine. Im just trying everthing i know that could effect it to cause curts problem. Im trying to make My PC have exactly same fault as curts.


I use laptop so dont need My PC to work if i cant fix it after ive broke it.

You should only ever get it from http://www.java.com

Just to be certain can you verify you have tried everything needed for a fresh install :

Uninstall Java (remembering there may be multiple versions installed, they have to be done individually)
Reboot
Clear history including downloaded program files
Reboot
Then visit java.com for a fresh install.

maybe http://www.oracle.com/ , filehippo is another possibility but i usually download mine from filehippo with no problems.

Why would you have Vista? It's about as much use as having a brick with a mouse attached...

Just Done all of the above what spinner said, but wont let me open the downloaded the new java for some reson, here's the message it sais..

windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item?

Is it coming up with an administrator user name and password to give permission?

If not then it might be virus but I'm not sure.

No its not mate just that message comes up. Shouldn't have any virus' in the comp only just put it back to factory settings.

Can u try going on another site that uses Java. Online game site or anything that uses Java to work.

Then we can see if its your Java or just this site that it dont work on.

I don't have java at the moment, i uninstalled everything, saved the new java, went to open it and i had that message that i posted above..

Have u tried downloading a Java from filehippo any Java will do for noow dont have to be from the java site.

If u cant Get a Java reinstalled then your gonna have to do a system restore to a point where u Had it.

Yeah iv tried that, same thing comes up..

I tried downloading spybot yesterday and the same message came up so i think its doing it for everything i try to download.

Ill do a restore later after i come back from work..

I think the pc is on its last legs tbh. Its not running like it used to.

Hmm u should be able to download. Maybe log in in safe mode and try it throug There . Your normal log may have a virus as it should let you download.

I Had a similar virus last year where everthing i treid downloading infected a diffrent part of My computer. Then it kepted trying to sell me anti virus.

Ended up with 72 viruses was 8 trojans,4 worms, and load of other stuff was a pain in the butt. Lol

check there isn't a firewall and make sure you have cookies enabled..

Which firewall are you using? Check it's settings to make sure you're not blocking Java.
