Now that the season is over, it is time to discuss any changes you want made going into the next one.

There have been a few suggestions and comments about the format-
-Do we like everyone playing each other twice as we do currently?
-Do we want to change the Cup format?
-Anything about the Individuals Tourney or Player's Championship?
-Any rule changes?

Do you want to keep killer in the league for next season?

I'm asking because I noticed a lot more games being played at the default time on the last Sunday. This suggests that teams are having trouble arranging this and getting it played.

Basically the same reason it was removed from FBL on pool.

It was always going to be a hard game to get played as you do need a few players from each team. It is fun to play don't get me wrong but it could get worse the longer it is in the league, then again it could get better.

I think some of the time clans were holding out for certain players being online. The chances of the 6 particular players the clans want all being on is slim though. This also gives the situation we had with AM this season where we could have played on Friday or Saturday as both teams had players on. They knew their best players would be on at the default time on Sunday and that half of ours wouldn't be, so just waited till the default time to play it.

I can't see a way round this though.

Agreed, killer does seem to be something that clans will wait until they have their best players on and other clans do it to. So in a way the games are being fixed if you know what i mean.

I had to consign myself to being thrashed across the straight pool table by Steve the Pirate just to keep him off for a killer game against us. We won it 6-0... #Sacrifice.
But yeah, that's just another example of how teams would try to push it to their advantage.

Yeah but that is also a problem on pool in the FBL, as each clan usually play their best players in Straight as most would agree with to.

I think there is more cons to killer than there is pros, but that is just my opinion.

It's great fun and the tactical side is great. In theory it's a great addition. But it's too difficult to get done and fairly in practice.

To point out other sides- lots of people find it highly entertaining to play and it tends to yield surprise results quite often.

Would setting fixed times ahead of time work? That's what we're doing with the Sunday at 9 already.
If we say that each fixture has its own automatic starting time where the game must be played (by as many players as either side has on), then it would simply be a question of showing up at those times.
This would also eliminate effort needed by the teams.

I think the time could possibly change each fixture? For example, I can never be on at 9 on a Sunday. Other people might say work Saturday nights etc. If it changes then everyone should be able to play at some point.

Yes, and there are two fixtures per set usually.

They would all be in the second week one after the other, so that people have a week to prepare.

So are we still keeping killer? -
Because personally it's my favorite thing about the league, and is now and then the decider of who wins that certain fixture.

But I do agree about teams waiting for their best players etc.

I got lazy this season with killer didnt chase teams around as its just as easy to play 1 on deadline day.. just made sure we had played one before that..

What about 2 of arc 2 of reg 2 of orig, 1 of power and 1 of carom? Anything wrong with that?

Yes actually, that makes an even amount, meaning the fixture could end in a tie, which we try to avoid.

Easy to play one on deadline day because it's a fixed time. So if we give each game a fixed time that everyone knows in advance, would that be easier?

Just floating that idea around. Would do a test run in preseason friendlies if nobody hates the idea.

There wasn't one team that didnt wait for there best players to come on for killer. But everyone wants to win, so cant blame them.

I never did it, But i say keep it! It stops the league being so serious 24/7, I did it once and the banter was good!

I think setting a time for the fixtures to be played will alienate some players out of playing, saying for instance etarvt only plays up until 6pm his time so if the time was say after 8pm UK time etarvt would never get to play a game of killer for black ballers
