So? Should we be striving to play like Italy did once?? I don't think so. Get the oldies out, they've done nothing for England, yet for some reason they continue to be a part of the squad.

Gerrard used to be good, and in fact used to be one of my favourite players, but these day's he's crippled with injuries.. He isn't half the player he used to be. He is no longer a game changer and no longer makes a big impact in any game. Lampard still does on occasion to be fair. I think he's a big reason for Chelsea's success this season. He does have a good footballing brain and knows how to control a midfield so perhaps I was wrong just labelling him "old". Both of them playing together is a recipe for disaster and we will get nowhere.

I agree they can't play together! and agree Gerrard has lost some of his flair but he is still a game changer and a massive impact.

As soon as Gerrard went off against Norway we got dominated. Coincidence? I think not.

The England team should be picked by looking at player performances throughout the season, which if the case, would rule Gerrard out straight away. He's hardly played all season, and when he has played, he's done very little.
He's not a bad player, but he's not good enough for England, just as Beckham isn't, and Owen isn't.

Also, with Lampard and Gerrard both playing bad when together, you have to really choose which you want in your squad, and for me I'd rather Lampard over Gerrard.

Think that's harsh after 11 years in the prem but fair enough. Any team would be relegated with a Venkys and Kean partnership. Venkys wouldn't know how to run a club if it slapped them in the face. The clueless fans blaming Kean for everything have made the rest of the fans look like a disgrace but that's rant over I couldn't any other fans putting up with it in all fairness.

People who hardly watch football during the season are nervous now and 80% of the fanatic club fans are not interested in the national team. Have you ever seen the dutch fans? What a shame that is....wearing orange carrots on their heads. They never heard of the word support....they are only there for a "day out". A big difference with England for example where many club supporters are present from lower teams....from Carlisle to Hull and from Watford to Huddersfield and so on....

What CMs do we have? Gerrard, Parker, Henderson and Milner? Shame Carrick didn't go on the stand by list really but Hodgson made the right choice in bringing in Hendo rather than Johnson because we are light on the ground in the centre.
