Jack_pot.... I doubt Nick does nothing.... just it's not at a speed or visible to what we'd like to see

Oh sure, he might alter a few lines of code every now and then, and make a pointless thread telling us all even though it makes no noticeable difference whatsoever.

Nothing getting done at the moment is exactly right, how do we know Nick isn't working on things now?

Jackpot the reason people keep coming on this site and will continue to do so new updates or not, is because It's by far the best snooker game on the net and always will be, hence why people will keep signing in and continue to complain about nothing getting done, rather than finding something else to do or going on another site.

Stormforce you couldn't be anymore wrong m8, advertising companies pay Nick for advertising on his sites whether people buy stuff or not, have you never give that a thought? He charges £10 a year for premium as that is the equivalent to what he would get off the adverts, so he's losing nothing at all and not gaining anything either.

Point is, whether he's working on something or not makes no difference. He needs to interact with the members and tell people what's going on. You can guess that he's doing something all day long and hope for the best, but you'll just end up being disappointed. And your 2nd paragraph doesn't really make much sense as a reply to my last post. Not sure what you're getting at?

I'm not getting at anything, you said Nick should be grateful he still has any members left, and I was just saying the reason why that was all...

I wonder how much work is put into other snooker/pool sites?

But that's where it ends. You see, the main add banner on Funky is hosted by a company called SiteScout. This essentially is an add compaign tool, whereby you have to subscribe to it. It comes with a wide range of tools to help display the right adverts Nick configures, but largly adverts could be based on your cookies, i.e. it will look where you've been, what you've searched for on Ebay, Google, yahoo etc and can display relevant material, which you can click and it will route you through to a particular site. If the user continues to but, Nick's account is rewarded. So, essentially, this is an affiliate scheme as I mentioned. It seems SiteScout is quite advanced to some I've worked with previously, which is good, as it means Nick's able to tailor the ads to the trends of the site if he wishes.

im not complaining matty but it isnt nice putting an idea forward then no constructive posting by the staff members. it makes me feel better if they posted feedback about the idea and why it should or shouldn't be implemented.

same can be said about contact us as well since each time i have a query it takes months, may even not get a reply. For example i had a query or something about 11 months ago and it took me to message an admin to look isn't right either.

we need more active admins in my view to moderate the forums

funky yes this is by far the best snooker site on the internet and hopefully ill be able to play for years but the last big update was the Tournapoints (i dont count the phone app)? which was 2 year ago i think. its just nice for regular updates to keep members interested.

Call of Duty has a Ladder World League + New Map Packs
Forza has new Car Packs

but reversing this nick is one man and does not have a team at his command so it would take a lot of work and knowledge to do these regular updates.

I do have a question for nick though you know the phone app is a pc downloadable version able? as you/friends could download and in following modes...

vs Computer
2 Player (on same PC)
Practice (Free Table)

there is a question of boosting but this would be an offline version in case something happens.

think it would be good for beginners and those who want to record peacefully

First and foremost, i'm not going to cap, delete, or even remove any post's on this thread, as i think many of them are quite valid, however we all have opinions and some of them i feel are invalid.

The app was indeed created to reach out to a market that we may have not reached, many other internet site's and games have done this as i'm sure 90%+ of you are aware, however i do agree there could have been more done to the site before this.

Secondly, your idea's do NOT get ignored, just because we don't always post's it doesn't mean we cannot read them. As you can probably gather, we're not here 24/7 and we have jobs just like many of you, replying to forum post's on someone's idea isn't always needed in my opinion, however again i can see the flip side as then you'll have opinions.

Complaint's and contact us ticket's get dealt with in a timely manner, i can see right now, there is less than 5 complaint's there, when considering over 50 are registered each day i think is not bad going, again , some people are entitled to say that isn't good enough.

Clan's was never built for the moderating team to interfere with, newer members may not have known this. We put clan's on here so members can run it, and moderators the help out on the forum, there is no direct link between clans and the admin team.

If anyone else would like to talk to me directly, they can message me directly, if not, we can talk here as constructively as possible.

One question from me..

Surely taking 3-5 minutes spare to reply to us is better than leaving us in the lurch.. Why doesn't admins reply every time ?

Thats not a attacking post directing at you or anyone else, Out of respect isn't that the best thing.. to let us know..

True, but alot of it is time related, if i come online for say and hour or two a day, deal with the complaint's i mentioned, aswell as other daily site thing's, then it can become hard.

As an improvement, i'll try myself to reply a lot more often, but like i said, this always isn't possible.

Is it not possible to possibly promote new admins then ?

I know most of the admins were made in that role when the game first launched.. But maybe the next step to the game is passing the torch to a new era of staff ?
