Broken Promises
True colours always surface in the end,
through generations they transcend.
excuses roll off your tongue so eloquently
they almost sound real.
Once I was naive, now i see sense,
your words, once held so sacred,
now mean nothing.
Such a big change in so little time.
New dawn has risen, life moves forward,
you'll be remembered as a footnote in the past,
yet a profound affect you had on the future.
Hell is paved with good intentions and empty promises,
My words for you;
I hope you like eternal heat.

Heres a few i done on Pools poem thread :)
This is a poem for a man of mine
My real life lover not some dude online
Tho he wont read it i want you to know
Just what he means oh i love him so
Together for years tho once he did cheat
He's changed a lot my heart still skips a beat
He's showed me the best week ever so far
It started on Fri when he pulled up in his car
Out came the roses, perfume and choc
Then on our door he gave a loud knock
Arms full of prezzies and all just for me
They all got plonked on our settee!!
Pack your bag babe, were away a few days
The look on my face was of total amaze
Work was informed as was mum and dad
T'was a nice surprise so i wasnt mad
To a hotel room is where i was led
Rose petals were scattered the on bed
Champagne? well that was chillin in ice
Bathroom so huge and jacuzzi was nice
I had such a good time alone with him
Our time there wasnt certainly dim
This was no tacky all week fling
It ended with me wearing an eternity ring

he always brings a smile to my face
with his fooling about
he is so funny theres no doubt about it
my nickname for him is baboon
jeez! he is wired to the beeping moon
and he calls me a dafty !!
i would say i was just being crafty
i wish more people on here were like him
cause some people on here can be so grim

Pub lunches they are great
Share a giggle with a mate
Soon you realise the times flew
Your feeling tipsy after a few
Want to go home and get ready
Carry on tho your not steady
But it seems fun so we party on
Dont get home til its hitting one
Falling in at the end of the night
Make up still on looking a sight
Spinny room makes me feel sick
Oh why have i been so thick
The hangover next day is so sly
It really makes my mouth so dry
Banging headache im feeling sore
Promise myself ill drink no more
