ok i pressed the square in the top right hand corner of the screen. Where you zoom for orig, that bar i placed under the screen and stretched out the bits above and then the sides to get the soze of the screen, gives that little bit more room on the screen.

I'm confused as to where people are losing table size.

I'm currently on a 15" monitor, at 1024*768 resolution, and there is no difference in table size for either game, as they both fill the screen horizontally just like before.

Indeed this will (has) to be the case on any standard 4:3 monitor.

The only people who may notice a difference are those on widescreen monitors, but since the normal starting vertical resolution for these is 900 pixels, and the vertical space has reduced by only 5, you'd need some pretty keen eyesight to notice!

What most are seeing is the same as the initial reaction on pool, that being the optical illusion created by more space appearing above the table, yet not noticing how much of the chat area has gone..

this is what i had initially, smaller balls and pockets. Also look where it says internet protected mode on and 100%

Now the little bar that says 100% and internet protected mode on, has gone (i've moved i under neath my screen, making the balls bigger, and on mine less square than what they were before.

I am all for updating the look and style of this superb site... However being a staunch orig player i am very upset with the table size change. It is a totally different ball game now,all the angles seem to be altered(probably perceived)and i find it extremely difficult now..Please try to find a fix Nick.

Great updates but with one small problem - on my mum's laptop which has a screen resolution of 1440 x 900, little bumps have appeared on the balls (on original)!!



Everything else is fine and gameplay doesn't seem to be affected so still a big thumbs up

yep ive always had that though, but it went perfectly round when i zoom in to 107%

ok, i have had to change zoom from 100% to 130%. Isnt great as cant see chat box but better than it was!Hopefully will win this battle v the upgrade

I know i don't use zoom atm but i was messing with it yesterday to see if i could get the table the same size as what it used to be before the update on 125%. I found that the only %age like it is 132% which does prove that the orig table is smaller.

1 thing, i no pool have this, but on theres there is an option to change the cloth colour, will we get that

I don't like these updates I no the table is only 5pix smaller or somewhat but playing a different game now..... also as a few moderators no I had a incident where I clicked on leave game and it started I no it most proberbly won't happen again as its one of them things but its alot when you loose to a rank of 670 that you shouldnt be playing in the first place!

i think the new layout is pants. i voiced my reservations about these potential changes before they happened and wouldnt you know it- its ruined the gameplay. ~Now in arcade my balls don't appear spherical, more like little octagons.

WHY FIX SOMETHING THAT ISN'T BROKEN???

It seems to me MOST people don't like it so why not change it back?
