I actually find Original easier without zoom, and sean_paul is also against using zoom. I'm sure there are many other users who don't use zoom as well.

y cant people see what a great job nick does and he is trying to help you all out with the status bar issue and u still dont appreciate it. (not everyone just a few ppl)

F11 should work for everyone. What browser are you using?

For people who don't know how to use F11, click next to where it says "Help | Forums" at the top of screen and press F11. Do the same thing again to restore your screen to normal. Alternatively, you can just click the Restore button at the top to restore it back to normal.

What people don't seem to understand here is that Nick isn't doing it because he wants to stop people using zoom, but he has to do it as he clearly stated in the original post.

When people start threads or make comments on adverts being removed, people always reply that the adverts are needed to keep this site up and running and as Nick said, less advertisers will be advertising on this website if people are hiding the adverts and therefore the same answers should be given to people disputing this addition.

It's needed, otherwise no adverts and no income to keep the website up and running.

Zooming to 107% made orignal easier for me, the balls ere round and i didn't need to scroll, and i could still see the advert fully.

I used zoom because it made the balls bigger and much easier to pot, am not saying i cant use the normal sized table as i have made 2 centuries using the normal size. But using the normal size created a strain for my eyes and i couldn't play it for more than 20 minutes so when i found zoom it made it easier and more comfortable for my eyes.

I will definitely donate if i could use zoom again.

Using zoom and simply resizing the applet window should have the same effect though.

In fact resizing the applet window should be slightly better as the advert portion of the window is not being zoomed.

I don't play with zoom (mainly because I can't) but that's the way I've always played it so I'm used to it. I'm sure that the great players who are currently dissatisfied will still be great players after a little practice. It can't be that dissimilar to changing to a different monitor which changes the ball/table appearance, as many have in the past after an initial transition period. Admitedly this is the point of view of somebody that is uneffected by the changes but I feel that there has been somewhat of a kneejerk reaction to unfamiliar territory.

(btw Nick - the 'bump on the balls' problem was sorted by using f11)
