Well, i mostly play original and never play with zoom, i just dont see the point for the reason above. The table automatically scales to take up the full size of the window, so zooming is useless as the table is already the full size.

Removing the scrollbars has increased the avaliable space for the table, making it bigger than it could ever have been using zoom, so is an excellent update.

Well it doesn't affect me now, but still waiting for the table size to be put to normal before the update.

But as said in earlier posts, just simply get used to it. I recomend using opera for orig.

Just a little screenshot to illustrate what i meant above. This is on a 15" monitor set to 1024*768, using IE7 with completely default setup (note status bar still there).

The table fills the full horizontal width of the window, showing the benefit of removing the scrollbars which would have made it slightly smaller.

Zooming is obviously not required since you cannot zoom at all without losing some of the gameplay area.

On a final note - I can't help but notice that quite a few of the people complaining about recent updates (not just this one) are the same people who only a short time ago were complaining that nothing ever happens to the suggestions on here. In future, please restrict these moans to a notepad text file on your own PC, that way you can enjoy them without having them interrupted by meaningful, constructive, posts.

I like the updates now and like the fact the scroll has gone, not that hard to adapt to

Thankyou Iam, this is better, the chat for me is still hidden but i can play an online game. Full Screen is the answer instead of using scroll. Ty again.

Ive just came back for not playing for a while....

I used zoom on hard shots, now u cant use zoom really because the scroll bars have been removed.

With zoom the game is alot easier, now everyone has the same playing field. Good or bad i dont know

Definitely bad! I cant adapt to the original table.

ive adapted to arcade but not played enough original to adapt to that yet

can't believe people can complain about something they get for free...

Buy a bigger screen!

Pay to get the scroll back, i cant play original without it

or...

use your magical talent ste to do what you've always done!

Right, instead of just saying "its ruined", try to explain what you can possibly use scrollbars for when the game fills the window to the max.

Nobody can help you if you don't explain the problem.

It made the pockets bigger and the balls bigger, every solution you have suggested or anyone's suggested it hasn't had the impact zoom had on me. Zoom brought a lot of arcade players to original and now original have lost a lot of players due to this.

As has been discussed, on a normal (4:3) monitor, the table no fills the full space avaliable, so zooming in can do no good as part of the play area would be lost. Removing the scrollbars increased the avaliable area, thus making it even bigger than it could have been with zoom.

As mentioned on another thread, there is to be an option introduced for widescreen users too, which will increase table size for them even further.

Its important to remember that the relative size of the balls and pockets, just like all gameplay, has never altered, so its no harder or easier than it was before.

I have spoken to a lot of original players and we all agree that original snooker is now ruined due to no scroll bars.I really do appreciate this site is free, and also all the hard work nick puts into it, but maybe some updates are not as good after all for the users. A few good original players are finding new sites because of this and i feel this change is a shame as there was beginning to be more and more original players which was obviously good for the site. I know people say get a bigger monitor but some people cant afford to do this. I do feel enjoyment of this game has dipped a lot for a lot of people. I personnally am only staying here because I hope it will soon be realised that this format isnt so great and will be changed back. As I said before I know alot of hard work has been done by nick but original snooker is going extinct....any chance of a re think nick?
