say what you like, 2 games, 2 failures.
And as for the rest of the team, not good enough, sat back and excepted the 1-0, I was glad when Spain got the second, we actually came out of our shells then. To late of course.
Agbonlahor and Heskey were hopeless. The back 4 was a joke, with Johnson capping it off. And the midfield was none-existent.
Disgraceful really.
As for Spain - amazing. Not one of our players on the pitch today would get even on their subs bench - not one.

So you agree that Jagielka wouldn't makes Spains subs bench?
Nah hes disapointed in both games hes played. He knows it himself. Am sure he will get another go.
As for our national side, it is really worrying, need the big players back, but even they wouldn't have beat spain tonight.
Iniesta, Xavi and Alonso controlled the game, where were our midfield? Carrick, Downing, Lampard, etc.. need to look at themselves. Gerrard can also be included in that when playing for England. He is our best player by a mile, but still under performs. Ahhh well, England wont run into spain for a very long time in a competitive match, so no need to worry - we wont get that far.
You could really tell Spain wanted to win that game, look at the team they put out. Look at the players missing for England.

I disagree with you mike on a couple issues,
I thought that heskey was one of Englands best player to be honest along with SWP
heskey won few flick ons for agbonlahor which he made a mess off and he held it up well and passed it on and also got in few times where the spanish defence had to bring him down all the time, so I thought heskey done his bit to be honest,
and also I aint saying it because hes my own but explain to me why SWP din't play well?? I thought he was great, took them on a lot of the time and got free kicks, defended excellently against Ramos, He done well

I still think Jagielka would make the bench for Spain
It was good to see a good footballing match by Spain, England we're a joke! They played like Bolton/Stoke, just long balls! Spain must of been surprised in a way of how bad England performed.
I read the daily star just then and they gave Jagielka a 5!!!! Thats the worst with James! He didn't do much wrong did he :S? It was absolutely quality the first goal, the movement to the placement of the shot! Well I'm writing to the star! (lol)
England hopefully learned a footballing lesson last night. I'm just worried for Sunday, hope Jagielka isn't too down hearted after that. He should forget about them anyways their all a bunch of nobody's with big ego's!
David Beckham, yeah he deserves to be in the record books. He's a good professional, but it annoys me that he makes all the headlines constantly. All over the papers today, the cameras we're on him all the time last night and he was on the bench!

Jagielka is still one of the best defenders in the prem so..
plus he never played bad untill the goal, he made a vital block from ladyboy and then followed it up with a great tackle. Plus in the first couple of minutes he just shrugged him off the ball like he wasnt there like we saw over the 3 derbys.
Spain were class, England were rubbish

Jagielka Is far from best centre half in the prem, He has had One and a half good seasons in prem which doesn't put you in the catagorie of best centre half in the prem, you guys need to take the blue specs off.
Jagielka received the ball from james, then gave it straight to Alonso who threaded it to Villa who turned Jagielka inside and out so he messed up 2times in 20seconds, He is a good player but too small to be a class centre half like richard dunne lmaoo

You make me laugh
Now on to something worth talking about...
Ste Jags deserved 5, he played one half remember and made some simple mistakes.
Chris I think SWP was our best player, Beckham when he came on was good on the ball as well.

Steve Clarridge on pompey.
"What's happening at Portsmouth now is less of a shock to me than it was seeing where they got to originally and how much they spent to do so," said former Portsmouth striker and player-manager Steve Claridge.
"I know the infrastructure of the club, the amount that they can make on the commercial and corporate sides and how much the season tickets cost. For a club to spend what they spent, it didn't equate. It's completely unsustainable."
Pretty much backs up what Nick said. Harry seems to be doing the same with spurs. Where is their money coming from? :\

To be fair, when talking about England, opinions about players are generally biased towards their respected clubs.
It's probably why players don't play well with each other unlike in which they do in the prem.
But there's also other factors which contribute to this, I won't go in to them though.

Riera - didn't play
Reina

Arteta and Fabregas should of waited and applied for Brittish citezeonship
Nah when fit Fabregas usually plays ahead of Alonso - but he might find it hard to get back in tot he team. Senna is getting on a bit so I reckon ALonso will go into the holding role which he plays for us. I actually prefer him a bit further up, he is wasted holding, and we really don't need 2 players holding. Masch can do it on his own, and ALonso can create.
But Rafa is too negative

ermm Gerrard. We've had loads over the years, which have been sold or quit the shambles that is England. Liverpool is more important to me than England and so to for Carra.

I know you won't disagree with me on this one Mike.
Why isn't Arteta in the Spain squad? Obviously i know they have bags of talent in the middle of the park but he at least deserves a call up right? He wouldn't look out of place, he has everything a midfielder should have! He must be getting really frustrated because he's playing at the top of his game right now. I believe he would get into any national side in the world except Spains of course!!

See that's where your wrong, Spain play beautiful football. Arteta being the great player he is has had to adapt to Evertons style of play so much I think he's turned into a more indirect minded player going backwards to go forwards if you get what I mean. Which neither Alonso, Xavi Iniesta do, they play the ball beautifully around the park and even to those under pressure, whereas Arteta looks for the space for a different route to goal which isn't as direct as say Xavi would do. Now please don't take this as an insult to Arteta because I think he is a great player but it's the way he has adapted which has kept him out of the Spanish side IMO.

So effectively if your looking to blame anyone you could blame Everton
