I think you're wrong .
Watch the Bolton game? 3-0?
Absolutely amazing! He had a better game against them than any Spanish player had against England. You may say it's only Bolton, but you can say it's only England as well because they are awful too!
Arteta's vision to find an opponent is immense!

Copello in the star today "We can be fab like Spain" had to laugh that off.
The_kop, Alonso got an 8 for his display against England.

I'm not questioning that I'm just saying Alonso's Xavi's and Iniesta's are better and more direct!
On the other hand I think he does deserve a cap just for the way he has transformed Everton, just to see what it would be like.
But answer me this ste if he had this cap do you think he'd cement a place in the starting 11... honestly?

He's certainly capable of doing so. I personally couldn't see it due to who he plays for, maybe if he played for Liverpool then yes I'd think so.

Hence the spoiler I put in! And your right if he did play for liverpool then I'm sure he would get his pop but he doesn't so I can't see it happening anytime soon.

So effectively if your looking to blame anyone you could blame Everton

Arteta deserves a place on the bench. I was quite suprised to hear he has never been capped.
His problem is that he is to similar to the already established players, so not really worth Spains while to play him ahead of the current midfield, but like any good team, the quality coming from off the bench, is similar to that coming on. However, unless Spain are way ahead, or have an injury, Xavi, Iniesta, Alonso, Fabregas will not be subbed for Arteta, because other than for a fresh pair of legs, tactically, nothing would change.

If he wanted to play for England he would be the first name on the team sheet, he has fantastic skill. He would get the headlines just like Beckham, a new star....but lets not dream too much now ay haha!

Him and Jagielka are good, but you are over-rating them. Jagielka isn't better than Terry & Ferdinand, and Arteta wouldn't be the main player for England should he have English citizenship.

If only Newcastle had them two...... if only.

I would happily take them, but they aren't two of the best players in the league...

One of the best defenders doesn't mean he is.
He is better than Ferdinand and Terry in my opinion.
