He didn't say you deliberately put flashy gimmicks at the expense of game play. The point being made is the new ball rendering has made playing the game 'less' enjoyable.

We shouldn't force changes on people by saying get used to it or we are all in the same boat. We can tell game play is affected for the worse and to be honest it's very insulting to suggest otherwise. Higher specs doesn't equal a better experience on the table.

The game hasn't been affected 'for the worse', as you say. The fact is, it is now more accurate when taking shots. Which you've probably read already, since thats the part you cut out of the quote.

Just a few hours apart, and a significant difference. So, since you actually post on this thread, you want to continue playing. It doesn't take long to adapt to very slight angle changes. And since most people seem to have already adapted, you should start practicing if you want to keep up!

I've not forced any changes on anyone. I change the website for how I feel is better, if my vision is different to you you are free to visit another website.

Improved physics and rendering makes for a better experience, yes, it's hurting a few people now, but that's generally the case when things change. I'm sorry that the better rendering insults you, but I can promise I didn't mean it as an insult.

Love the layout and the gameplay is fine for me.

Just one little thing though. When playing a game, the area where the player names and scoreline are shown, i prefer the positioning of the scores as they were beforehand as i found it clearer to read when points of both players were shown together.

On the Arcade practice table last night and again this morning, when my opponent fouled, the blue icon allowing me to put my opponent in again did not appear.

Strange but true.

I will take a look for some different snooker sites. I might stumble across one where you are not advised to find a new website after giving feedback that doesn't strike the correct chord with the owner.

It's just as well it's only a few people who are unhappy with the changes or you might be telling 10,000 people to sod off...not!!

I've probably suffered more than anyone. In about 60 matches I've hit like 4 halfs, with my highest break being 73 (i think). Now thats quite a drop in what i used to get. But get on with it, it's for fun after all

To be honest all i think should be changed is the none auto start if the timer runs down

I'm having a problem with sound. Mainly on shots with power or where a lot of balls make contact. The sound goes away, then when the balls stop moving you hear what just happened. Like a delayed reaction.

Now it's almost every 3rd shot.

i have a problem with killer
on a lot of killer game especially 6 man + everyone has clicked but the only one you can see has clicked at the top is yourself. This is happening to half of 6 man + and a third of other games

The increased animation speed has caused the sound to delay on some systems - I will patch this tomorrow or Monday.

Going through your previous posts you had an attitude against me before we'd even spoken. You even arrogantly presumed to know my view on funkysnooker. Feedback is welcome - unconstructive abuse isn't.

Just a small point. There seems to be quite a delay between
<username> appearing in list and
"Your friend <friend's name> logs in" appearing in chat panel.

Might be just my machine but thought I would mention it

Yeah and when say someone leaves the room the room or enters, the scroll just nudges up a bit so I never see it.

The only trouble I have with the new layout is when I open pratice mode the icons at the top ie.funky,regular.....rerack are white once the cursor moves over them??? Also when I finish a rack in practice mode i get no score/shots or even breaks come up? I wondered if anyone else has this problem or if it's my machine? I havn't tried an on-line match as I don't want to play and not know my score.
Other than this I feel it plays well.

Happens to me as well Mike.

I presume you're using Opera? I have seen this occur, Opera uses it's own Java connection rather than the Java plug-in like the other browsers. I have found Opera and funkysnooker to be quite unstable - I'm hoping Opera will use the Java plug-in in the future. I will list this as a bug, though.

I got to say that the game play is tops!!! However, i'd encountered a problem today whilst playing Original. While i was playing, on the table it said "Please Wait..." on the top center of the table. I told quick_pot and he told me to notify you in the forums.

Happened to me a couple of times that, but i think its because i use opera and i know (as nick said) opera doesn't work the best with FS.
