Erm nick, i was logged out twice as an error occured and it said "Sorry, an error has occured. Please close this window and log in again." I've lost my rank twice now, and i've lost quite a lot each time. Im talking about 11 points
I'm quite scared to play ranked now because im trying to become a virtuoso but everytime i get close, that error occurs.

This error has just happened to me in the original tournament game, I was on a break and the game server logged me out 'error has occurred please close the window and log back in' this is the first time this has happened to me to be honest. I tried to take a print screen but it crashed my internet explorer.

Not being brilliant with computer stuff i don't know what you mean by 'Opera'? I just use windows xp nothing else that I've added/or aware that i've added. It does bring up the Java logo when I load up a game.

ok here it goes. I am having some major issues with this site since the servers were updated. 3 times i have been playing in tournaments and before the game starts it logs me out so i lose my opportunity to play. is this a common problem. its not my connection as all other internet activity works just fine.

Here is a strange one.

I joined a game and clicked start and it appeared to be locked saying 'Waiting' for both players and 'Please wait ...' on the table and no countdown clock. To my surprise the balls suddenly started moving (because my opponent broke off) but the 'Please wait...' remained on the table. The rest of the game continued as normal except for the fact that the message remained throughout the game as an intregral part of the table. Here is the screen shot....

Sorry Nick, I wasn't actually suggesting that you'd put flashy stuff above gameplay, although I can see you might have read it that way. I was just speaking generally that if a site makes something look really good, but at the expense of the playability of what made it great in the first place, then it's a shame. I wasn't saying you deliberately decided to reduce the quality of the game! Unfortunately I feel that's what's happened and I no longer feel the same yearn to play. I know there's loads of people that feel like this, but equally there are loads of people that don't. Good luck to all!

P.S No disputing that this site is the best snooker site there is. Period.

OK, I'm sorry to hear that. I personally can't see how rendering balls more accurately has adversely affected gameplay, but if you have adjusted to the physics before I see how you wouldn't want to relearn it. I did try and keep options for restoring everything from before eg you can bring back the old cursor, first ball hit and the old default colour scheme, but I didn't even consider adding an option for this (I'd have been embarrassed to create an option called "render balls less accurately" !!).

That change is unrelated to the look and feel of the game though, it's just happened I've changed them at the same time (which I regret doing now with this thread going badly off-topic for bits)...

im starting to have a problem at then end of games.. when the black has been potted the shot clock freezes, although the points and win are awarded.

The game froze for about 1 minute once my opponent cleared all the balls. This was in a private ranked game, (against dobbzee to clarify).

My sound was a bit miffed earlier is ok now tho. I no longer see the message "You invite <player> to game" in the pm.

My sound is awful When the balls clatter it makes a really ugly sound, if that makes sence

Yeah sometimes its perfect but then others when the balls touch or pot is sounds weird also i am having delayed sound I am not lagging at all but the sound sometimes is coming after white stops

i have that different sound.. but i just thought it happens when you hit it hard.. or when balls bang together at pace?

Having problems with the update. Table keeps freezing on me, I closed the window, but now when i try to get back on I just have a black screen with the roulette advert.

Currently on snooker's build from the morning there's the following problems:
1) Score panels don't update at end of private games (including not showing start/cancel buttons) (looks like freezing but it's just not refreshed)
2) Sound problem (delays)
3) Opera loading problem

#1 is already fixed for a patch tomorrow.

We are both in the game (Tourny so auto start) but its saying i'm stil in the killer game as you can see from the screenshot I cant take a shot hes claiming to have broke but I can't do anything and its not making me do random time or anything just not doing anything at all?

I don't care what anyone says but the potting angles are way way way off for me. I just played practice mode a few times & was lining shots up dead straight & they miss by a mile. I even used a ruler against the screen to get a straight line... didnt even make the jaw. Something definitely ain't right here. It's totally unplayable. Totally unrealistic. Just a completely spoilt game which was perfect before. Can i have the old version back please. BRING BACK THE OLD VERSION. This is crap.

Just learn the new angles again... it only takes a few games and a bit of practice. It's just down to not being used to it, like it is when you first start. And i doubt you would have called it crap and unrealistic when you first started playing this game.

Besides, this same slight change has happened to everyone so you are no worse or better than anyone as you were before and there are people here who are adapting to it fine anyway. If they can do it then anyone can, they just have patience.

I suggest you go play on a real snooker table and see how long it takes for you to throw a wobbler because you can't pot every shot perfect. I'd find a bigger ruler too.
