Very interesting this Phil Jones thing though. Rumours doing the rounds Liverpool placed a £19M bid in for him yesterday (Wednesday night)

Highly Doubt that Liverfool had any influence as you claim in the upping of Jones fee, no media is reporting that, only yourself is. The general word is that everybody is coming out saying he is underpriced, so they are trying to squeeze United for more thats all. United also look to have snatched Ashley Young from Liverfool also, and he will finalise the deal when he returns from Holiday....

In other Transfer news, Marlon King to Brum. Will be a very interesting season next season and Perhaps the most competitive ever... with 5 or 6 teams being very strong in the Prem which could see Arsenal begin to fall away unless they do some big transfer activity INTO the club...

And the championship with Brum & West Ham both wanting and vieing for Promotion, should be one of the best seasons ever id think

Debt free Liverpool can compete financially with anyone though mate.

Hendersons deal is £16M with add ons. So we give them 500k if we win the league, 300K if we qualify for the Champions Leagye, £1M for every 100 appearances (they are just examples!)

Also David Ngog will be sold for £5M to Sunderland, and hopefully that figure will buy is Gael Clichy.

Money previously spent on interest repayments are being spent on players for our club.

I don't think we will even sign Jones tbh. As I said the other day, this is (and only in my opinion having nothing to base it on) an atempt to derail/disrupt Uniteds bid for Jones.

In the end it will come down to Jones himself I would think. Which red does he want to play in?

People saying he chose United over Liverpool are wrong. Only United originally met his so called 'release clause' so he could only speak to United, but that is all he can do, talk. He cannot sign because his contract is very complex, and Blackburn owners have the right to charge VAT on £16M, hence they want £25M.
