Yeaaaaaaaaah, Roy Hodgson is the reason for Liverpool players on high wages pmsl!!!!! Outrageous thing to say. But if you wanna believe that then thats okay. And then you mentioned David Ngog hahahaha!!!! A player on high wages BEFORE Roy. Nice contradiction there Kop End

As for Connor Wickham, Liverpool didnt want to pay 8 million awwww didnt stop them wasting 20 million on a certain Henderson and trying to sign a certain Jones for 22 million eh, oh and Carroll for 35 lol Again more contradictions

Wheres Sammy Lee? mmmmmmmmm?

Oh and looks like Gael Clichy is ANOTHER player to say No to Liverpool, looks like hes on his way to Man City

Wasn't Ngog given a new contract under Roy Hodgson? Remember reading something about that. The couple players that Mike mentioned were all bought by Roy Hodgson and are all on high wages with the majority of them just there to fill up the team sheet.

Why wouldn't Gael Clichy go to Man City? He is obviously gonna get more money there..

m_wood, what is your obsession with Liverpool? I've not seen you mention any of Nottingham Forest's deals in the transfer market this year. Are you ashamed of your own team?

Forest havent done any business in the Transfer window.

I find it amusing that Kop puts alot of Blame on Roy Hodgson, and Roy brought in Joe Cole and everyone was like Yay what a coup, its only now that they now slag the deal off. Heinsight is a beaut. And Kop sums up everything that is wrong with Liverpool fans

Are you sure you're a Forest fan?

I like how Liverpool, who have finished 6th and 7th in the last 2 seasons, are so high on your list of priorities.

As I said Woody stop being a wind up merchant and talk about transfers. Why you feel the need to turn every thread into an Anti Liverpool one is beyond me. (I noticed you even tried to derail the best goals thread)

Can you not just grow up and put your hatred of Liverpool aside for the good of everyone who wants to talk about transfers?

On another note, the transfer window opens tomorrow.

Liverpool have reportedly sent representatives to Spain to tie up the signature of Sevilla youth player Antonio Cotan.

Chelsea and Inter Milan have also expressed an interest in the right-sided midfielder, but the Reds have made the first move

According to Spanish reports, agent Alvaro Torres is in Seville trying to finalise a deal.

The problem is your inaccurate story telling. If a player declines Liverpool you automatically get on the defensive ohh it must be money ohhh it must be this reason, that reason, you dont accept that its because they dont want to join Liverpool fullstop. Its quite simple. Plus the fact that in alot of posts that you specifically do, you slag teams or players off, have some repsect, there is no need for name calling teams or players.

As for the Goal thread, think youll find you posted a goal against Forest first, so i just wanted to remind you that Havant and Waterlooville scored at the Kop end, good goal actually from Potter. Then there was Brian Howards for Barnsley.....

Just be nicer okay soft lad?

Another player leaves Forest Mr ddedededee Adebola to Hull and he looks to be joined by another Red Paul McKenna!. Not too bothered about either, both aging players who got little game time

Before that I posted a Lewis Mcgugan free kick screamer, Darren Pratleys goal was also a very good goal.

Alfie Potters goal was rubbish.

The point is your hatred of Liverpool, and apparently myself is making the football pages all come back to the same thing.

Me and you bickering.

I don't remember slagging any team off, in anything other than pub banter.

I called Roy Hodgson, Billy Davies and Steve Maclaren awful, they are.

I called Fernando Torres a ladyboy. I'm sure he has been called worse! Yet also said he is the best striker in the league.

I called Fergie, Slur Alco and Slur Alex and Bacon Face, but I also say he is one of the greatest managers ever.

In footballing circles such names are funny you know? Yet you choose to be offended. Not my problem.

I also said Forest were a huge club, in fact it was you who said that they weren't! I still stand by the fact that you are!

This is what I don't get. I respect your club more than you, and you have more angst against Liverpool than I ever could for any club, anywhere.

Glad to see the soft lad comments were getting to you by the way, I didn't even know.

You obviously don't read the posts correctly.

1. In all of his posts about transfers he either gives a link to his source or mentions the word rumour or possibility or apparently.

2. Gael Clichy came out and said he WANTED to go to Liverpool, now either Liverpool have not made a bid or Man City are offering more wages.

3. Ashley young was only rumoured to be joining Liverpool and has been for the last 2 or 3 years, and like many other players would he opted for league champions, champions league football and a huge amount more wages than at Liverpool.

4. Jones also publically came out saying he would like to come to Liverpool only to turn his back and go to United, I think when the deal was near done, Liverpool offered 22m for a laugh knowing they wouldn't get him.

If you read the posts and links correctly you would see this.

Gael Clichy just wants money, simple. Don't see how he'll get into the City team because Kolarov is much better

Well maybe it is because of the rich history and tradition of the club?

Or perhaps it is because City are shameless, and he's not daft!

Yeah mate, I always put apparently, or state my source because people who claim to be 'in the know' get on my manboobs. (I am the_kop btw)

The only one I did say (if I remember rightly) was that David De Gea would definitely move to United about a month back, and yesterday he did

I have never claimed to have any information other than what I have read, or have heard.

As for Woody I am not sure if he is purposely misreading things or just bad at deciphering text.

Roy Hodgson LMA Manager of the Year 2010, Europa Runner up, beat Juve 4-1 with Fulham.
Billy Davies. 5 times finished in the Playoffs - in the Prem left them in Novemeber
Steve McClaren, Uefa Cup, Dutch League

As for Gael Clichy, he heard Liverpool were interested, but when he hears Man City are, a bigger club, he will want to go to them reguardless of money, just like Phil Jones & Ashley Young. They want to join teams who are in Europe, Liverpool are not. End of debate

Steve McClaren lost in the final of the uefa cup

somebody needs to look up their facts... and that was nothing to do with his tactics really he was losing horrifically in the previous rounds so he stuck on all his strikers punted it long and hoped for the best he is not a good manager

Hodgson is good in a limited resources environment and his timing coming to liverpool was unfortunate. he did bad business in the window but i think that was due to financial restraints and never seemed to admit we were in trouble

His handling of the media, players and fans during his time at liverpool was appalling because liverpool fans want honesty not 'we played our best football of the season' in a game where we lost to Everton

despite this he is a decent manager
Billy Davies i cannot and therefore will no comment on.

Oh yeah he didnt win the Uefa cup, he got to the final, he won the League Cup instead, finished 7th in the Prem, semi finals of Fa Cup and League cup, damn I forgot to mention these. As for the Uefa Cup itself sticking strikes up, so your telling me he used his Managerial expertise to change tactics and it worked and he won again and again, dayum....... **rolls eyes very slowly**

Roy Hodgson was never going to be anything at Liverpool in the transitional period and a squad of turds, thats why Anfield pitch is so green, Millions of pounds of Crap on it every week. Wasnt Roys team, was Rafas

it isnt tactics he goes 4-1 down puts on 4 strikers and hopes it'll go in it is luck, it is kids football tactics, it is plain stupidity. You honestly know nothing about football

pay more attention to your own team than ours in future im sick of you being a constant muck spreader on a field of idiotic comments

no prizes for coming second so no point mentioning all those other semi finals and rubbish like that

Are you lying again soft lad?

So now we have Fergie winning the UEFA Cup. No he didn't.

Then Maclaren winning the UEFA Cup, no he didn't.

And don't believe everything the media tell you Woody. Hodgson bought in 7 players.

Other than Raul Meireles, (who will probably be sold) they were all dog turd.

Jovonovich, Cole, Poulsen, Konchesky, Wilson, Thomas. It was very much his team, he just hammered it into them week in week out they weren't good enough.

"The poor side Roy inherited" comments reminded me of that old Tory line I hear every day in the news "We are cleaning up the mess Labour left behind"

Take away Labour and add in Rafa then you begin to understand the tedious nature of such comments.

Roy took the supposed mess and took a great big dump on it.

Then King Kenny comes in, makes that poor squad of players look like a top 4 team. In fact if you take Kenny's record and multiply over the course of the season, we would have finished 3rd, one point behind Chelsea.

None of this has anything to do with the current transfer window, and we have thankfully moved on from Woy.

At the end of the storm, there's the golden sky
