im an aston villa supporter and i certainly do not dream of having andy carrol at villa i dont like that sort of striker that holds the ball up BUT thats not to say he isnt a good player because he is he has played very wel for liverpool in the games he has been fit to play and when he isnt getting done for his off field antics but he will be an important player for holding the ball up for suarez and gerrard to get into the box i think he will be one of the main assist players in the premier league this season

Andy Carroll is basically Peter Crouch with strength and good footing, I'd like to have him in my team but I think liverpool rushed in a bit fast and bought him seen as last season was his first full season in the premier league.

Injured players pass medicals because tests are done on players to look for the chances of injury in the future. Things like heart rate tests and stuff.

I also agree with you Matty, in that a player like Carroll isn't everyone's cup of tea (mine included really - I prefer the Suarez type) but in football there is room for all sorts of players.

The only issue with Carroll so far (and it is not his fault) is that he is abused by defenders like Carragher who constantly whack it long to him for 90 minutes.

As for rushing into it - we had to. We sold Torres on deadline day, and had 10 hours of the transfer window left, or we would have had David Ngog as our only striker.

Aguero is at City, has had his medical now, he will soon be a City player.

So that is the second world class player to move clubs this transfer window.
