Okay, I did the Mac software update, including the latest version of Java for Mac (Update 6, 1.5.0_22) and...

Nick, I like all your upgrades, except the posting date/time one.
I find it very cumbersome to hover your mouse over every "friendly date/time" to find out exactly what time it was posted. In my opinion, the exact posting date/time can matter a lot in some situations (e.g. when moderating!), and hiding that information only brings a worse usability.
I can understand that people like it, find it fancy, so if you don't want to remove that functionality, please at least add an option in everyone's profile to chose exact time or "friendly time".

Have you tried clearing your browser history/caches, the rebooting?
If that doesnt work, removing java via the control panel (all instances, there may be more than one), rebooting, then doing a clean install can work wonders.

One thing i've just noticed. My connection just went and it showed this message...

and "caused by" wouldn't work in that sentence
so "due to" won't either
