The score before the foul would have been 40-52, which is 12 points behind, so according to the rule it is right.

Been playing on here fro a couple of months, however been plying the real thing for over forty years and I'm trying to understand the confusion here over the 'last black'
As far as I can see the rules on 'funky snooker' seem to be the same as in the real game.
Regardless of the score you can only score once off the last black.
Pot it - score 7
Miss it - foul 7 away
Go in off - foul 7 away
Any of the above concludes the game.
The only exception being that after any of the above the scores are tied, in this event the black is re-spotted.
As far as the games I've played here this seems to work unless there are situations that crop up the game prog can't sort out.

to him,but he fouled so if it wasnt 4 that daft rule,it would have been 48-44 with me on black

It would have been 48-47 lol.
Part of the reason for this rule though is so that you can play the last black without fear of a foul costing you the frame (which in your case it would have done without it).

If I understand the above correctly the scores were 48 - 40 with only the last black left
The frame is over anyway
You can only score once off the last black
I makes sense to have the rule that you can only score once as a player with any skill at all would not fail to hit the black and also play so as not to go in-off that leaves the only way for the opponent to score is a snooker on the pocket jaw.
So if the players played on it could last for weeks.

Lol it will NOT get changed back under any circumstance. The rule is right and people posting these situations have no reason to moan because a rule didn't go in their favour. I'm sure it would be a different story if it was the other way round.

the rules are perfectly in-line. As damee said, under no circumstances should the rules be changed back to the old INCORRECT rules because people are moaning about losing when they wouldnt have 2 months ago when the rules were WRONG

Me and james played before and it was something like 62-55 to me and i fouled and i had the win, surely that should have been a re-spot.

Correct. If the score after the pink was potted was 62-55, then the frame should have "ended" 62-62 after the foul and the black should have been re-spotted.
In general however, regarding this current thread, have a look at this old one:
http://www.funkysnooker.com/thread/1346/suggestion-player-with-8-lead-and-only-black-remains-can-claim-win/1
I was clamouring for this rule change 3 years ago Also the 3-snookers rule came in since then too, so it's all good.

P.S. I apologise, I got a bit stroppy in that old thread but that was a long time ago
