my bad. misinterpreted that part. thanks for that james.
Rules are still rules and that one is in the offical rules of snooker so dont see how you, little_paws, or sam can complain about it. The rule should always have been in place.

Extract from the Official Rules . Section 4 said:
...
4. End of Frame, Game or Match
(a) When only the Black is left, the first score or foul ends the frame excepting only if the following conditions both apply:
(i) the scores are then equal, and
(ii) aggregate scores are not relevant.
(b) When both conditions in (a) above apply
(i) the Black is spotted,
(ii) the players draw lots for choice of playing
(iii) the next player plays from in-hand, and
(iv) the next score or foul ends the frame.
(c) When aggregate scores determine the winner of a game or match, and the aggregate scores are equal at the end of the last frame, the players in that frame shall follow the procedure for a re-spotted Black set out in (b) above.

Yerp, i think dgen said this to but i misunderstood it.

So you were on 30 when he potted the black.
He's deactivated now anyway, but still..
Even if this is the case; and the guy went in off Sam would have had the black respotted, potted it and won - but he didnt get the chance!!

LOL at that part. Moderators are different in that sense, and are allowed, so saying that is totally pointless.
And just to put it plainly, what the rule has been changed to now is right. So no point moaning about it when it's right.

And she was just stating a point. That the rule is stupid. Fair enough its a genuine rule, but come on. Sam could have had it respotted and he would have won. Just saying.....

i hated this rule but it actually makes sense.
because in a real game of snooker, if your over 7 points ahead on the black you dont have to even have a go you just say thanks, and youve won.

As for saying that I am Sam (before finding out im Peggi's fiance of course ) well that's just silly - why would a grown man call himself little_paws with Hustlers written on when he'd already left Hustlers???
To be honest I think this forum has become less about this rule and more about everyone arguing - so perhaps its time to end it.

In all fairness though, it has happened before and no doubt will happen again. Just the way some people are, try to hide them selves for who they really are.
