Cup should ALWAYS be random, that's the beauty of it. Not naming names but I think the only reason this idea came up was because of D&Cs first round loss last season. The idea of the cup is to create such 'shock' results.
Defaults rule change is positive.
As for spectators, I don't agree that a rule must be implemented. If someone wants to watch, what's the harm in that. The ignore button can always be used to stop yourself being put off. But still allowing said player to watch.

Why people say "wp gg" before the snookers required stage is beyond me. Whoever says this before the game has been finished should forfeit the frame.

I completely agree with you that saying it early is way out of line, but a number of people don't. Have a look at threads here and on pool. The same discussion occurs on both sites. This is a compromise that hopefully everyone can live with.

ededed- The idea was created by a couple of people, but quickly received negative feedback when it was brought up at the end of last season. All ideas receive a place here and can be discussed.

and for D&Cs 1st round loss i don't mind personally, we needed 18/18 at the time to go through and got 17 of them so im happy about that as only losing one frame in 3 matches is quite good.

for spectators its always up to the individuals but if we have last seasons repeat on people saying one thing and someone saying another then it may be unavoidable unless screenshots are provided.

Basically you all have the wrong assumption that "good game" means the game is over. Complete misinterpretation. Only reason why I never say it is because I just can't be bothered with all the aggro that comes with saying it.

we know it doesnt mean that but how many people will actually say it midway through a frame? everyone on here says it at the end of the game ;)

There are clearly a number of players who have a problem with this and a number of players who do not. Is the phrasing the way we have it at the moment acceptable? If not, please suggest another version. However, I don't think it will be taken out completely, due to the large number of people that are bothered by it.
Current version:

"Do not say things like "gg wp" before the frame is decided, unless you are absolutely sure the opponent doesn't mind this. Many people are put off by this. In case of doubt, saying 'gg wp' should occur when you are so far behind, that you wouldn't carry on for snookers."

You haven't played anywhere near as many games as me to realise that is not true!

Just leave it as it is, I only stated the misconception with it, I don't have a big issue with the rule.

what?? so youve been playing someone on here and they've gone "this is a good frame were playing" or said gg in the middle of the frame?

its said at the end of the frame mostly or just before the winning ball when people attempt to put you off not that im bothered by it

Same, usually doesn't bother me but if they have the cheek to throw a "wp gg" in early, to me that implies they have conceded the frame. Whether you go on to clear up or miss next shot that's it, game over

Many times yes! The few times I've played spinner he's done it a couple of times. It's no big deal at all.

I've probably played about 20,000 games on this site, it's not uncommon to see it.

it can mean gg to that point though, its an interesting discussion but looks like the way seb worded it is perfect.

say damee played nh who doesn't like the gg then he knows not to say it but say if damee plays spinner or me then he knows he can say it as we don't mind.

Well in that case they should say "gg so far" then. I'm specifically on about "wp gg" during the frame. No need for it.

Simple rule, "keep wp gg until the frame has been won". There's no need to say it before.

lets leave it as it is, then both parties is happy.

its not really a hard rule to follow tho tbh?........i think its just arrogance to say it in mid play, especially in a clan league game.
