Why would you want to boo the Welsh national anthem? It is better than ours, which tells noting of our country.

Land of My fathers is a tune!

Not sure where the trend of booing everything and everyone in football has come from but it aint half tedious.

Some scumbags killed a Wales fan before the start of the game...

R.I.P Mike Dye

Just reading that now, some rumours that it was fellow Wales fans, I would personally have thought it would have been some mindless, skinheaded, EDL yob wearing an England flag around his neck.

But let's wait and see.

Either way, nobody should ever go to a football match and not come home.

Yeah as far as I know it was Wales Fans, thats what makes it worse..

Mike I have to disagree... Harry Redknapp is one of the best managers in the prem atm without a doubt.

Fair enough about Roy Hodgsen tho.

Sorry cue_power but fat frank should retire, He has never had a good game for england. If he gets a 100 caps for england i will not be proud to call myself a english football fan.
He had 26 shots in 2006 world cup most out of anyone in the tourny and never scored.
As soon as full time whistle goes takes his top out, Lets his moobs wobble side to side, And does that ridiculous thing with his shorts were he pulls them up and turns the elastic inside out.

Ashley cole is still the best left back for England.

Hart
Richards Cahil Smalling Cole
Parker
Milner wilshire Gerrard
Young
Rooney

Should be the starting team for the next game if all are fit.

Hart
Smalling. Cahill. Terry. Cole
Walcott. Wilshere. Barry/Parker. Young
Rooney
Bent

Thats the England team that is needed but why?
Arguably you could have Phil Jones in for Cahill, Man Utd partnership of Smallng and Jones, along with Chelsea Terry and Cole. Arsenal Partnership of Walcott and Wilshere. And you have simply got to play Young on the left, thats where he prospers and can link with Rooney LIKE he does at United, and you have to play someone in front of Rooney as Wayne comes to get the ball in his own half, and yet hes your striker. The balance of My England team is right, pacey wide players who take people on, its a winner! Come on Fabio lol

Lampard has had a poor start for Chelsea, and needs to play less for England. Yes, fantastic servent but wasnt everyone jumping on the wagon calling for Golden Generation to go after the failed world cup? Hes 35 odd, he doesnt have the legs now. He should be a 20 minute sub. And for me Downing would be out the team, he just cant cut it for me and never has.

Harry Redknapp a terrible manager? LOL

Consider

Ryan Shawcross? Matty Ettherington? Pennant?

Why in the hell do people always overlook Stoke? We have got 3 absolutly outstanding players that I have named above

Last season out of English players Etthering/Pennant were up there with the best they played absolutly outstanding but aslong as they stick at Stoke they will never progress to England it's a joke

Well I watch Chelsea every game... and in a totally unbias way he is 10 times the player Barry will ever be. Its simple.

He can kick a ball 60 yards to feet with minimal effort and pure accuracy.

He is the top scorer midfielder, ever in the premiership.

He is one of few players to score over 100 goals.

He is second in the all time most assists in the premier league.

His ratio is 1 goal every 3 games for Chelsea.

His ratio for England is 1 goal every 4 games.

In 2004 Euro qualifers and Euro 2004 itself he netted 6 goals in 13 games

In 2009 he scored 6 goals in 10 games, more than any england player.

In 2011 he has scored 2 goals in 5 games whilst 2 of those games he was subbed off.

Won player of the decade last year.

Features in most world wide teams of the year.

Also someone said he has had a poor start to the season?

He has played 3 games, scored 1 and assisted 2.

Could only be poor by Lampards standards...

Stoke are not going to breed international class players. I'm sorry but I don't want to see any of Stokes style of football in the England team. Seen enough long ball football in that last world cup from England to last me a lifetime. Works in the prem, not in International games where posession is the key.

As for Downing, I thought in the first half he was our best player (that isn't being biassed by the way) he had the measure of his full back all game, the fella didn't know which way Downing was going, inside or outside and eventually it led to the goal, Downing going down the line onto his right foot and pulling it back for Young.

Now onto 'Arry Redknapp, think he has only won an FA Cup in his entire career might have won more but that is all I can think of. Anyway the media have clearly decided for us that he is a great manager and the next England Coach so I guess I'd better get used to a few more years of misery yet.

Interesting 'Arry Stat: Spurs' last 54 games under Harry, compared to Ramos' 54 in charge:

Redknapp - P:54 W:22 D:17 L:15
Ramos - P:54 W:21 D:16 L:17

Once you look past the great press the fella gets from his friends down in Landan and look at what he has achieved in football you begin to realise he is not so 'triffic' or 'top top' afterall.

Obviously Harry Redknapp is a great English Manager, everyone knows it except for 2good...

So my question simply for you young man is, what, in your eyes, makes a Good Manager? Its not all about "winning trophys" you know that right?

We are all intrigued to your answer........

One difference with that statistic with Ramos and Redknapp, is the significant improvement of standards within the Premiership from then, to now.

Never have, never will rate Frank Lampard in an England shirt, Derry you seem to be blinded by him being of Chelsea kind and missing the fact he's utter dog for England (as are many players don't get me wrong) it's time for a lot of the regulars to step down and let the new breed in.

As for Harry Redknapp, anyone who evades tax doesn't deserve to manage the Country they're evading it from.

Football is ALL about winning things. The sooner people realise that the better. League position is good, but it means nothing the year after. A club is measured by trophies, not how many times it finishes 4th.

I'm bored of this obsession with trying to finish 4th to get into the money spinning champions league - as if finishing 4th should even give you the right to enter a "champions league" - it shouldn't. Club fans pleased to be going out of the Carling Cup so they can concentrate on finishing 4th. WTF!?

'Arry turns around and starts crying about being in the Europa League. Christ 'Arry if you won that it would be one of the biggest achievement in your career, but instead he devalues it by saying it isn't ideal to be in it! What sort of manager is that?

Off on a rant here but once you start not wanting to enter tournaments to concentrate on finsihing 4th in your league is a sad day for football! The "top 4" is ruining football.

Then you have his pathetic transfer dealings. The fella never has his slowly melting face from off of Sky Sports News. I have to laugh every time I hear 'Arry on there "Yeah Joe Cole is a triffic player". Erm Harry unless you want to buy him, please stop talking about ours and other clubs players you classless moron!

Then just look at the mess he leaves clubs in. Money runs dry at Pompey, he leaves them in the lurch. Did the same at Southampton and West Ham, will inevitably do the same at Spuds.

I think a lot of people actually forget that football is a job. Its a career for some and others its love.

I remember Assou-Ekotto The Tottenham player said that he only plays football for money. He doesn't like it or watch it or have a football team. Its just a job.

& though Harry has tax evaded, if you ruled him out the England job because of it then there wouldn't ever be an English manager managing England.

Will struggle to find someone who has never evading tax or the equivilent at Harrys' age.

I dont care who manages England, I'd rather Avram Grant than Capello. Capello is an idiot and the reason I disagree with you fully Mike. Capello has won numerous elite titles but only done it at the best clubs. He has never 'made' a club.

If you think, Mourinho made Porto, Poyet has made Brighton, then it shows Capello is just a fraud really.

Some people get a lot of luck in life and some don't. I think Capello has been extremely lucky to be in the position he has.

I would also like to point out, I dont personally think 'Managing' is so difficult or really require much knowledge or expierence.

The thing that a manager should be, is ruthless, aggressive, passionate, loving & scary.

Sir Alex Fergurson. He makes an effort with the players, you respect the manager, you go on the pitch & you give a performance.

Isn't about what line you run down or who is picked as penalty taker. We have all played football & you create space yourself. You take on the slowest full back, you switch flanks, you play arial balls if your bigger. Its common sense and common knowledge.

Scouts find players

Shareholders' buy them

Physios keep them fit

Coaches, coach them

You could never really say Guardiola is a brilliant manager, because he has the best team of all time at his expense.

But his man management, his affection for the team & the passion for the club. Thats what a manager should be.

Not a stone faced Capello that couldnt even speak English for a year. He is just as selfish as the England players.

I know I talk crap a lot of the time on here, but this is the truth.

On another note, the last two England games - I've been able to hear John Terry clear as day shouting at the players through my T.V.

"Smally SMALLY! Go tight!"

"Gazza go to go to"

"Keeper!!!"

Also some words I cant say on the forum But he is the best & only captain for England. Well and truely back to its rightful owner, the band.

I don't care what anyone says, Harry Redknapp is a brilliant manager, hes made teams wherever he's been.

He didn't jump ship when pompy went dry he left long before the crap hit the fan, he left because spurs were a better side and he wanted to better himself. Look what hes done got a team into the Champions League ahead of city and liverpool and done pretty well for their first time, not monaco well but well enough.

Hes quality in a manager.

To be fair tho dez hun thats only things that are said leading a defence.

But yeah Terry is the right man for the job, Ferdinands injured way to much to earn the respect of the other players.

Bit of a contradiction really with the 'to be a good manager you have to win things' that is rubbish, and a contradiction.

Steve McClaren, remember him? The Carling Cup winner and Dutch League winner? Trophys

Alan Curbishley is a terrible manager then as he hasnt won a thing. Would you say Kevin Keegan is also a terrible Manager, he only won Community Shield and Division 1 an 2.

Souness was a fantastic Manager.

And sorry for for Redknapp to win the FA Cup with a team like Pompey, and to take Spurs bottom of the League to 4th, thats a terrible manager? Get a grip lol
