Si what are you on about? Fergie did't want an open game so fielded a defense minded midfield.
Only when he needed a goal did he bring on his strike players.
If he started with an open team, he knew we would orobably over run them.

He started that team to TRY and take over and frustrate our midfield, his tactics worked somewhere as he got the point he come for, he never come to Anfield for 3 points yesterday, which is silly really... you should try and win every game you play IMO.
I am obviously upset we never won but 2 and a half weeks ago you tell me we would come out of Everton and United with 4 points I would have been happy.
I think all this "fielding a weaker team" law is ridiculous anyway, you are allowed to submit 25 players (I believe), so who are the FA to say who your best 11 are, you should be able to play any 11 in any game you wish. But while the law stands I agree Fergie may have breached that but it seems that it is very unclear to me.

Fergie chose the 11 players he wanted out of his squad to start the game. I personally see no issue with that, but for such an attacking side it was giving us a huge compliment to come here to keep us quiet.
I thought he would make the same mistake he has done the past 3 years and take us on at a game of attacking football, hence why I was so confident of the win earlier this week.
We have Norwich next up, I bet they do the same as what United did.
It is our fault we didn't win yesterday though, we just didn't take the chances we managed to create. Still think we need a striker with Suarez, a finisher.
We've spent £35M on Carroll. I'd be trying to get that partnership to work next week.

Carroll is a joke of a player for 35mil, he's not top 4 quality and he Newcastle must still be laughing when they see how much he actually went for.
I wouldn't bank on making that partnership work, you need somebody with more quality somebody who can Strike better somebody who can turn quicker somebody who is actually worth the money spent on them.
I thought Crouch was bad for 10mil lol

I do believe that if Sir Alex didn't act like a wimp, then Man United were more than capable of winning.
Not one Liverpool would/should have put money on Liverpool to win that game before that teamsheet was revealed.
The only positives Sir Alex can get from that game is that Welbeck needs Rooney on the pitch.
I have been saying that Sturridge is plenty better than Welbeck, and the games yesterday only demonstrate my thoughts.
Welbeck looked lost, was coming deep, was try to assist as a lone strike, which is silly as who will he assist? Sturridge creates, scores and proved at Bolton he can do it solo.
I just hope Capello was watching... but he is a sorry mistake of a football coach, a true joke so I shalt hold my breath.

I think he has a way to go before he can be classed as a better finisher than owen throught his career, but he is quality no doubt about it! never looks like he'll miss
was really surprised with the team he put out aswell, most of them players were on international duty midweek I still think they could have played but ah well, a good point in the end for us have to admit i would have taken that before the game

I dont think you can blame anyone for Hernandezs' goal. He imo is probably the hardest striker to play against. He never keeps still, he has the Ruud Van Nistelrooy poaching ability, he can head better than Berbatov and finish better than Michael owen. So he cannot be marked. He is 20x the player of Welbeck and im disappointed Man Utd got the point, it wasnt deserved.
Sir Alex deserved to be embarrased for picking that team.
Nani, Rooney, Anderson, Hernandez are all at peak fitness. So I can only assume Sir Alex was scared of Liverpool. Terrified of them in fact.

After reading some of your posts reguarding Manchester Uniteds squad selection on whether the FA should punish him for a weakened team... it seems none of you have heard that the Rule was changed at the start of this season and now you can pick Any of your 25 players without question.
Charlie Adam has obviously been working on his diving with Suaraz, that dive was impressive, and I think Rio Ferdinands exact quote was...
'Their was the slightest contact, but i dont think enough for a fella whos 12, 13 stone to fall on the floor like that'
Easy now Rio, your being kind, hes 15 stone. Man Utd were never in trouble really, couple of saves for De Gea, couple for the cameras, Man Utd will smash them at Old Trafford
Laughable that Capello is rubbish because he doesnt Pick Chelsea players though ha!

The funny thing is wee man, Fergie thinks his biggest game was on Saturday, in fact he reckons it is the biggest in world football.
I'm with you though, it is a bit odd that he thinks that way. Derbies should always take precedence IMO.
Why would Adam stay on his feet when Rio clips him and stops his run? It was a foul, we got the free kick. Rio lucky to stay on. He does have to work on his Scottish fall though, Suarez will hopefully be giving him tips at Melwood as we speak to perfect the art.

You sound proud when you know it's a disgrace
Rio lucky to stay on? He would of being unlucky to get sent off for that pathetic excuse of a free kick
Charlie Adam should be the 1 that is getting booked for that...
But same old Liverpool their team do something wrong and your trying to show a good view of it..

And as Jack_pot said it's all mind games, Fergie says that so now man City are thinking 'He doesn't think we are a threat'
He knows the biggest game for him is this weekend, the team that are top his closest rivals and it will be a better game than the Liverpool 1, I bet he has the urge to put a proper team out aswell, he knows it's not a walkover and I could guarantee right now wellbeck won't be the striker for the day
And the biggest game in world football is Barca vs United, nothing gets a netural more exciting than seeing them 2 teams next to each other

I'm a neutral- I would take a ticket to Barca vs Real any day over Barca vs Man Utd.
Pretty much agree with the rest though.

Ya see Si, problem with you and so many other people is you have grew to hate Liverpool, just like I have with United... so you wont agree with the decision.
If you get "clipped" or touched in anyway which is gonna earn your side an advantage you go down and get the free kick. ANY of the United side would have done so so what is wrong with us doing it? Unfortunately it is part of the game, even though it shouldn't be, but teams like United and Chelsea have been doing it for years now and you don't moan about them.
He chose a team he thought would frustrate Liverpool at the end of the day and would win the midfield battle, he chose a team to draw and that is what he got.
As a neutral I would rather watch Real vs Barca more than Barca vs United though.
Oh and on a last note no one in Liverpool is proud Wayne Rooney was born here. And Danny Murphy is from Chester not Liverpool.

Maybe you havent seen this Sturridge chap play?
A guy who was neck and neck with none other than Wayne Rooney when he was in the form of his life, scoring 8 goals in 11 games and an average rating of 8.7 which was the exact same as Daniel Sturridge whilst on loan at Bolton...
To then select Heskey who went on to injure Rio, who then gave captaincy to Gerrard resulting in a 4-1 defeat to Germany...
Which all spirals back to Capello.
I didnt base Capello being a joke for his dress sense or not picking a single Chelsea player, but for being a clown in squad selection.

I am a Chelsea fan and would rather have a ticket to Barca and Madrid than Chelsea United.
One I have seen Chelsea/United on four occassions and each time no more than 2 goals were scored. Games are fairly dry etc...
And Barca/Madrid is the most entertaining football game on the planet? I dont think anyone would turn a ticket down.

Hmm lets think about this for a second
Sturridge banging in the goals for Bolton, yet didnt get a single call up for England why? Porbbaly because England were smashing goals in in the World Cup Qualifying campaign and easily Qualifying WITH Heskey. And your really blaming Capello for a freak training ground accident?
Wasnt it a Chelsea player who injured Rooney BEFORE World Cup 2006, yeah, it was. So lets blame Capello for World Cup 2010, and Chelsea for World Cup 2006
