Forget about Arsenal & Tottenham, out of all our games this season, tonights is the one I'm most cautious about.

I think we have a better team than Stoke do, however they seem to have a habit of upsetting teams, especially on their own turf.
They're a really tough team to score against.

My heart says it will be 3-1 to Newcastle, however my head is saying it will be a 1-1 draw. Hopefully we can pull some magic out of the bag and get a good result.

Si, about Gerrard, I was saying that about him and Carra at the beginning of the season, we will be lucky to get a few games on a run, wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he went to Anzhi Idon'tknowtheirsecondname or to America in the summer.

If we get 15/20 mil for him we have done well given his current condition and his fitness. Carragher I can see retiring either the end of this season or next and going on to do his coaching.

We need to find a world class replacement for Gerrard and soon though, or we will be screwed, we have proved we can cope without him for a few games but we really need quality cover... should never of gotten rid of Meireles or Mascherano in my opinion.

For tonight I am hoping for a Stoke win, mainly for Liverpools sake, but a draw which is what I think will happen will do us too.

It'll be great for Newcastle if we win. Going 3 points above Chelsea & Tottenham, up to 3rd in the prem, 1 point behind Man Utd, 4 points above Liverpool!

On the other hand, if we lose, although we won't instantly start our decline, we have a few tough matches ahead, and it's quite obvious that we won't get any points on a couple of those fixtures, so we really need a win or a draw, otherwise, before Xmas I can see ourselves being more like 6/7th.

Just like to say that I am as much amazed as I am pleased at both Bristol City and Rovers both winning for the first time in ages! I hate seeing my local sides do badly, so I'm over the moon that they won

Hopefully City will go on a little run, and get themselves back into mid-table, in a respectable position

I can see stoke losing 5-0 the way it's going, there defence is none exsistent.

i mean arsenal, united, city, chelsea and liverpool

as they have only been in the prem a year or so afer a year in the championship and know they are just running riot with these premier league teams

Demba Ba is an absolute monster.

I didn't rate him at all when he first joined, but my oh my has he showed what he has made of in the last 5/6 games!

8 goals in his last 5 games now for him! And 2 hat-tricks this season! Outstanding!
