Are you all scared of Germany yet after their 3-0 demolition of the Netherlands? Luckily for you, we're in the same pot as England...

I love Germany's team. Think you have a real chance next year. A great young side who have now got big tournament experience.

The winner will be Spain, Germany or Holland. All 3 play great attacking, passing football.

So England won 2 games 1-0, wow yeah look at us. No. We are awful, both goals were lucky. I expect us to fail to make it past the groups, unless we have a miracle and get a host team from pot 1. Even then we'd probably just about scrape through winning the last group game 1-0 or something.

We will all get hyped up like we always do at big tournaments, only to discover our campaign will be an embarrasment.

Talking about Spain's plan B, right now a struggle to see England's Plan A.

2good, you know nothing then do you? Why dont you read some Spanish papers son and see for yourself. Like I said, they are trying to make Llorentte their Plan B when they cannot pass through teams. If you cannot pass through teams, who are you going to bring on to replace Villa? Torres or Llorentte...

Lol this did make me chuckle.

In Korea and other oriental countries, they lie to the public. They told the country they beat Brazil or whoever it was when they lost.

In England, the papers? I won't even comment.

As for Spain choosing a target man???

You're telling me, that if Spain cant break a team down they will take off Villa, ignore Torres and bring on Llorente to be a target man? Haaaha! Honestly?

They wont be playing a target man, period.

If Spain cant break down a team which never happens in a competitive game as they have scored a load of goals without ever using a target man, ever.

Can you please explain how bringing on a target man would increase Spains chances of scoring?

That is the worse plan b Spain could deploy. They are a swift attacking team that averages 65% possesion in matches, playing a target man would be the most idiotic thing Spain could actually do.

I hope England get the same group as Spain.

Spain play this free flowing football with very little error. They play with confidence, superiority and intelligence.

Norwich play a target man.

Slight difference.

Also I think you have to consider, Spain used the game as a friendly, they changed their players around and tried to play the football their fans love.

England played it as if it was a world cup final, playing football that many of the fans dislike very much.

If England play the same way against Spain in the Euro and lose, everyone will think England are pathetic, weak and low. If Spain play the way they do and lose, you think their fans will be disgusted? You think the Spanish press will ridicule the team and players? You think Del Bosque will lose his job?

Once the pressure is applied, England will crumble, let a goal in and lose.

I'd rather England actually gave it a go. Just like everyone else who were disappointed with the world cup after England not really giving it some.

What has made me laugh recently is... Since this Blatter "No Racism" speech...

The only people to complain or be "Deeply insulted" "Horrified" "Shamed"...

Are all black.

Its almost as if, the world believes the definition of racism is - Anti black.

That to me is the most disgusting thing.

Couldn't agree more Derry.

In my eyes white people are some of the most racially abused people there are, probably down to what has happened in the past some of it yeah. I seen a story what Si posted not long ago which sums my point up...

One of his friends who was whit got jumped by a gang of Asian lads, and then his friend and his pals went back and had a go at the Asian lads and got done for being racist.

Think it was Si who posted it but it was somewehre on this thread.

World Cup 2010

Spain 1-0 Portugal

0-0 After 58 mins. Nothings happening. They bring Llorreeenttteee on and the game changes, end of story. Why dont you go onto the iplayer and listen to 5lives Monday Night Club.

Clearly you were not watching the same game that I was watching if you think England played it like it was the world cup final. It was not a 1st team England team, It was a Spanish 1st team. . England won.

Will you care if England beat Spain 1-0 in the Euro Final playing anti football, or would you rather they 'have a go' against the best team and lose 5-0. PMSL

Thing I dislike about England is they have some of the same ways about them as Liverpool, and not the good things.

England play a boring style of football, which has made a lot of people stop following them, often they will get on goal and sit back, when in many cases they should go forward and add to that and seal the game.

They under estimate smaller/weaker teams which is frustrating as hell.

I can honestly say the England score doesn't bother me any more, I will support them and get behind them when I can be bothered but I don't have that much passion about the way we play football or the lack of ability the seem to be showing in a team that is full of talent.

They need a manager who is:

1. Not a complete idiot.
2. From England.
3. Knows an attacking side of football as well as defesive.
4. Knows and gets along with the players and isn't scared to drop players if they are underperforming etc.

Probably a few more but I can't be bothered thinking.

And don't believe he dropped Rooney because he wanted to...

Ferguson probably cried he wanted him fit because they are behind in the title race, and we all know he gets what he wants.

And the fact he is banned for the first 3 games of the Euro's so Capello prob trying to get the team to gel more without him.

My point Wood...

It was a friendly. A fantastic oppitunity to have a go at Spain with no consequences!

Englands team was hardly 2nd pickings. I dont think Rooney could play, Terry because of recent events and then who is missing?

Spains first team for all of 45 minutes. Then they changed half their team and 4 minutes into the second half England scored.

When a changed Spanish side were at their weakest, figuring who is playing where after a change up, we scored. Hardly a terrific goal were we calved open their defense, it was a ball lumped into the box and a rebound off the post lol.

Unlike you Woody, I dont need to listen to other peoples views to actually have an opinion. I dont need to listen to 5live on a monday night.

Of course I would want to win a final, I dont care what style of football we used, BUT IT WASNT A FINAL IT WAS A FRIENDLY "PSML".

If we were to draw Spain in the group stage and needed a point off them in the last game to qualify... what do we do? Play like we did in the friendly? Sure, but then if Villa's shot hits the inside of the post this time and we are 1-0 down... then what? I know, lets bring on a target man paahah!

This was the perfeect oppitunity to see if we could penatrate Spain whilst we need a goal, so then if we have to play them, we will no if we can or cant.

And to answer your question, yes I would rather give it a go and lose 5-0.

As opposed to defending all game and eventually losing on penalties/ET or a late goal.

Ah right, im sorry, i didnt know websites were your only outlet, and maybe if you gave the Monday Night Club a listen you would listen to the Spanish WANTING a Target Man so, I guess this makes you ignorrant.

England team missing? Hmm lets seee....
Rooney. Gerrard. Young, Wilshere. Terry. Ferdinand. To name 6.

Spanish team for all of 45 minutes, included 9 who started the World Cup Final.

"Of course I would want to win a final, I dont care what style of football we used" and ", yes I would rather give it a go and lose 5-0."

Woaaaaaaaaah, looks like contradictions to me.

As for its Spain we should of given it a go. Well I see where you are coming from sure, but would England of learnt anything? No. Have they found a way to beat Spain with a 2nd string team? Yes.

Do you think everyone is going to attack Spain in Euros and then say after 'well we lost 5-0 but we gave it a go, and now we can leave the competition and go home'.

Is anybody in England expecting England to win the Euros? No. What, as England fans, and I question the majority of you for being England Fans, only fans when it suits you, what would be a good campaign? For me, just to get out of the group would be good, thats all im aiming for

I am not contradicting myself at all. Im not sure if you are trying to be clever or just blatantly stupid.

In a friendly, I would rather of given it a go and lost to five goals.

In a final I dont care how they win it.

You see the difference in scenarios? Or dont you?

Spain fans wanting a target man? Its not true. Sorry but it isnt. I have visited Spain a lot and every fan I meet, celebrates their style of football. I have never heard or seen a Spanish person dislike the tactics and apart from you, I have never heard anyone ask for a target man, in Spains squad.

I dont expect much from England and think qualifying for knock outs is a big ask.

I did not say in a Friendly though did I. Scroll up and read again, maybe you misread Neigh bother.

Before the Friendlies. England have 4 games to find a way to play without the best player. Playing a full strengh team would of had no help in finding a solution to Rooneys absence

I understand what you are saying. Play a full strengh team and see 'where England are'.

Im getting bored of this Llorrentte debate. You dont believe me thats up to you, i dont care.

Just because Llorente came onto the pitch doesn't mean they started whacking long balls.

Watch the game back mate, they played exactly the same, with Llorente on.

Come on fella, think a little.
