i ain't worried either way mate, i come on here to enjoy playing the game.. all i'm saying is if you can't enjoy the game without making half or centuries then maybe you should find a hobby... at the end of the day, you win games you lose games, there either justifable or not it doesn't really matter i think people need to relax a little and enjoy the game for what it is!.. theres no need for all this seriousness yes i understand people want to achieve centuries, so do i but if people leave and stop me achieving so what? theres plenty of other frames to get the century.
loosen up guys and enjoy it for what it is jeez!

The game on here doesn't let you place the white like ronnie did in that clip so we'll never know

If you watch the next clip closely Ms Tabb also explains that to Ronnie.
An interesting bit is the fact it was an 8 point foul. I thought that was a mis-call by her, as he wasn't in the powerzone, but I guess what matters is that the break shot *should* be from the powerzone.
BTW - Nick can confirm (or anyone else who noticed) whether this is the case for the game here, I've not see it so don't know, but thats the official rule.

i agree ronni that we shouldnt take these things too seriously. Isn't the game queries forum for discussions about the game though? This site has made a large number of improvements over the years, partly due to the discussions and ideas of members on these threads.
I think this site is excellent but shouldn't we continue to try to improve things to make it a more enjoyable experience than it already is? The reason I don't play yahoo-pool (for example) is that it SUCKS. So I do care a bit about certain aspects of the game

the 20 sec shot clock penalty isnt being implemented properly,at least twice in the last game the opponent should have been penalised.

Remember that the shot clock you see, and the one your opponent sees, aren't necessarily in sync.
If you mean that the penalty notice has come up, remember the penalty is that 20 points are added to the opponents score, not taken away from the offender.

no penalty was shown, obviously the clocks were different though more than 20secs had passed.

Yes, it's all based on the central point of the white, and yes it's impossible to place the white illegally.
In this respect it's the same as all the other games, the countdown is only a guide for your opponent. Needless to say, if the clock ran out on their machine they would be penalised.

i'm not saying we shouldn't continue to improve on what we already have, i'm saying we shouldn't go on like we are doing, it's a new game release in both funkysnooker site and professional snooker itself, i'm saying we can improve things in time but Nick has more things to concentrate on, i'd be happy to play the current format for a while until Nick feels it's time to improve

To be honest...
I just want power snooker (in practice mode) to work the same as it does in game mode.
How can you learn new angles of the game, when the balls dont add up correctly

true mate, it also gives you the knowledge exactly when to take the powerball and practice breakoffs etc, i know it lowers the gameplay a little but im sure well cope just fine
in practice i actually made the 99 maximum BUT if it doesn't add up like normal game play then its just a number like any other thing.

just had a situation where i was 120 behind with 2 minutes left so my opponent got lag and 2 balls never touched the cushion but it was either tap and slow down which is not what i want or risk an all smash which 9/10 would fail anyway.
my point is you should have a choice if to take shot yourself or hand it to your opponent after a foul break.

There was a very bizzare situation I was in the other day & i'm not sure if the ruling was correct or not so wondering if someone can enlighten me.
The problem -
My opponent fouled a shot, which then gave me the opitunity to then play a 'red ball' or put my opponent in to play his shot again. As I was snookered from the 'Red ball' I opted to give the shot to my opponent thinking he was snookered from the red.
But for some reason, his shot, was to pot a colour and not the red ball. So he potted a colour and carried on with the break.
I cant remember the scenario of how he fouled, which is useless of me, but this deffinately happened so, I was wondering if this was a glitch with the site or site rules. But I don't no the actual ruling in real life in this situation so any help would be good, cheers .

Thanks, cue_power, I wasn't able to reproduce that, but I've ensured that the break is reset after putting opponent back in play in any case.

I have received a report that power play can erroneously continue into the next frame. Has this happened to anyone?

It may just be me, but Power Snooker does not remember my cloth selection and by the time I remember that it doesn't (by entering one of the few games I've played) it is too late to change
00:44 Wed 1 Dec 10 (GMT) [Link]
when ive been crashed or disconnected it changes my cloth on practice table and even when i change when i go into a game the old cloth is there (only after crashing or DC though), its no biggie but thought i should mention it

Yes likewise Dave, only a small thing but it can be annoying

I agree (especially as I don't play it much), but thought I would mention it - not only because, with my eyesight, I need to have a plain table but Nick can't fix things if he is not aware of them. Who knows, perhaps the intention was not to be able to change the cloth (like carom).
Anyway I'm glad others have noticed this and it isn't a case of yet another 'World Famous BuddyToBud Senior Moment (tm)'
