An interesting idea that has some merit. However, I feel that it would be impractical. As Nick has intimated that it would be seen to invalidate the current stats (not something I subscribe to as it happens), you are quite right in suggesting that there should be separate stats. But not only would this make the profiles unnecessarily cluttered, it would almost double the storage required to hold them (which may or may not be significant). That coupled with the dilution of the games being played, the time/effort involved in the implementation of the infrastructure to support it could be better used in other areas (IMO).

have to say im glad the pockets have returned to the usual ones,i dont think the importance of this can be taken as lightly as some may think,to some members this is very important,i chat to members who are dissabled,housebound,to them this site is part of everyday life,to some this is there only way of socialising,older people dont go out as much as younger people etc.so the changes made make more difference to some than to others,just another viewpoint to consider

Well, I'll just add my bit here as I see it.

If its right or wrong doesn't matter, its just as I see it, if thats ok wit ya'll lol. And if it was in my power to make the changes - I would.

I preferred the game prior to all these changes because before the changes, we didn't even have this as a topic of conversation.

Also, I was playing better then, and then....Then the BIG changes, some people loved it (they said) but most, including me hated the changes.

As the game is now we are neither back to where we were, nor are we as bad as the changes made it - I think, for me anyway we are somwhere in the middle and it has affected my game quite badly.

Prior to tha changes I was quite good around the black, come the changes it was as difficult for me as anyone.

However now, maybe I'm off form or maybe its just that bit more difficult I'm rubbish around the black.

Let me re-state that, I'm ABSOLUTELY, utterly rubbish around the black.
Before, most days I could knock in a 40, or a 50 and the occassional 60, now 'm struggling to pop in a 20.

As for shots along the cushion, or slighlty off the cushion forget it.

In summary, loved it before, hated the changes, now its not too bad but not as good as it was.

Laslty, I still wish they would turn down the contrast, its far too high and distorts the balls and some of the coloured aspects, So for me, all in all, twas a better game 6 weeks ago.

good as its ever been imo, pockets been made bigger and cushions is exactly how it should be, difficult.

cushions difficulty means you have to try and move them off the cushion where as before you could pot from anywhere which is what makes break building even more of a challenge.

Have they been changed again within the last 2 hours? They were changed away from tight a couple of days ago. I haven't noticed a difference since then...

Maybe you're just having a bad day? Nothing has changed for me anyway.

I think it depends what table you are on as well, I only play on original.

Only rarely do I play on arcade but I had a go today and yesterday, cushion shots are a doddle there, regular isn't too bad either but on original its more difficult as you'd expect becuase of the distances there is more margin of error.

I do nudge balls about mate to develop them but the corner pockets now are a real problem for my game.

I don;t suppose it matters what I or anyone says about any aspect of the game, there will always be those for and against any argument - But I syand by my thoguths and they are.... For me anyway, the game was much better weeks ago.

P.S. what does IMO mean?

must admit i play orig too most of time and cush shots is difficult for me but thats how i like it

i never used to miss down the cushion but i played a few games today and they just didnt drop,rolled a black from halfway down the side cushion and jawed,i hit the shot as i always do. Maybe im out of practice.
