is there any way the owner can fix the "snooker" situation.

i.e ive noticed a few people just playing safe from being snookerd..is there anyway you can put a "replace" the ball back to the snooker if a player dosent make a genuine attempt to get out of the snooker

i think this is cheating tbh..and if players want to win that bad by cheating, i would give you the game all you have to do is ask

but its suppose to be a fair game between 2 players, i dont vwant to mention anynames but it would suprise you whos doing this

cheers davie

Been mentioned but the problem is we don't have a referee in the game that can make a decision on whether the attempt was genuine or not.

One of those disadvantages of an online game.

Agreed that it would be good that it could be implemented, but as moons said, there's no way for the server to tell if it was a genuine attempt at hitting a ball or not..

Again, there is a big difference between cheating and bad sportsmanship (although both are highly undesirable).

As stated many times, there is no reliably deterministic method of determining whether a deliberate foul has been committed.

oh yes there is..pitcure the scene...all balls are at the baulk end of the table and safe.. A player is on a colour ,hes tight on cushon against a red and there is one loose red in open play..he then just blatently pots the loose red and dosent even bother trying to hit a colour..leaving his oponent without a shot...and him safe only giving 4 points away...he then goes on to win tourney

I'm well aware of the point you are making and am in no way advocating that is legitimate in any way. However, there is no way to adequately cater for it.

here is what i do when they do it.

if a ball is unpottable i put them back in, if a pot is on and i can get on a colour, i take it on

I was going to say ! In that sense, he's just fouled, there's no shot on, put him back on the table to play again!

Although it is not clear from the example, I assume that what is meant is that by potting the loose red it means that there are not enough balls left on the table to win without snookers that, due to the position left, might be highly problematical (since otherwise 'play again' would be a viable option)

no it is clear the cheat robbed timpark of a frame winning opportunity by not attempting a fair shot which would have left timpark on

Some people do a safety shot by mistake but a good sportsman would say sorry but people can't help it sometimes its just the way the frame goes , if you think they are playing unfair just don't play them again , simple!
