There is an ultra secret and ultra exclusive society that has 10 members. The society has a secret number. Whenever mentioning a number, a society member must always first add the secret number and then give the result instead of the original. At a meeting of the society I asked a member how many members were in the society. He whispered the answer to another member, who in turn whispered to the next and so on and so forth until the last member said out aloud 26.

What is the secret number?

Edit: btw you must give reasoning so people don't just guess at number lol

there are 4 islands in the sea, imaginatively called A,B,C and D. They are only connected by bridges, and there is a bridge between each island, so that it is possible to go from one island to any of the other 3. However the sea currents between island A and island B and between island A and island C are very strong, so to cover for disaster, there is an extra bridge between these 2 pairs of islands. There are therefore 8 bridges.
I parachute onto one of the islands (it doesnt matter which) and i want to walk across every bridge once, without crossing any twice.
How do i do it?

No I don't think I have heard that one, I will give it some thought in a bit.

Apologies to Baff, I forgot to respond to your answer... wrong, I'm afraid - there is definitely a hole in the sphere - a six inch long hole in fact

A basket has 6 eggs in it. A man comes along and takes 2 eggs. A woman comes along and takes 1 egg.
A boy comes along and takes 2 eggs. A girl comes along and takes 1 egg. There is still one egg in the basket. How?

Lol was only joking as is doesn't really matter just means I don't have to write out all four starting points as the sequence is the same just a slight difference in 1 direction

So starting at D say ...

D -> A -> C -> B -> D -> C --> A -> B -> A
