Morning, erm, afternoon ... was a long night last night (silly timezones bah!)

Right, just to get you started on the poem problem, I will give you a hint ....

There are two ways to approach the problem - the first and obvious way is to do the tricky geometrical maths to work out the volume of the sphere and subtract the volume of the cylinder and the curved endcaps - which is where you hit the problem of there apparently not being enough information. However, from the last two lines, you can deduce that not only is there enough information but also there is a simple method to get the correct answer.

I will of course accept answers to the nearest cubic inch unless you are Adam in which case I want it EXACT (he know why lol)

The one I underlined shouts out blue.

He knows that the person in front of him is red, so if he was also red, then the person behind him would see 2 red hats in front of him. Because there are 2 red and 2 blue, the person behind him would know that he was blue and would shout. Since the person behind hasn't shouted, then the underlined one knows that he must be different to the person in front of him. The person in front is red, so he knows that he is blue.

spot on adam

damn you got it quick, took me 2 days to work it out

Hmmm, gone a bit quiet around here, so lets have a quick easy one to wake everybody up again whilst you ponder on my last one (which I assure you is not as difficult as it first seems)....

Two girls are born to the same mother on the same day, at (approximately) the same time, in the same month and year, but are not twins. How can this be?

Just to get in on the act lol

What occurs once in every minute, twice in every moment, yet never in a thousand years?

Suppose I'll have to post another easy one to keep the thread going (seeing as everybody is ducking my other one lol) ...

I am a five digit number. If you put a 1 in front of me (making a 6 digit number), I will be three times smaller than if you put the 1 behind me.
What number am I?

I really am surprised because both of them are quite easy (well ok the first one is a bit trickier but it's more of a lateral thinking problem than a pure maths problem)
