A new one..

Late one evening, a man and his wife were driving their car at speed down a country road. The car spun of the road and hit a tree.
The man decided to seek help at a garage a few miles away.
He made sure nobody was in the car, rolled all the windows up, and locked all of the doors.
When he returned, his wife was dead, and there someone in the car he had never seen before.
No physical damage was done to the car, it was still locked?
How did the woman die?
Where did the stranger come from?

Well I would hazard a guess at blood loss or some other complication of childbirth and the Stork brought him/her - hence the reason for speeding?

You're on the right lines... Nearly there...

Hmm, perhaps it went down like this then....

The man and woman were speeding to the maternity hospital when the crash occurred, during which the woman gave birth (or just prior to the crash). She was either killed in the accident or was knocked unconscious. The man dragged her out of the car and, failing to notice the newborn baby, went for help. On his return, his wife (if she wasn't already) was dead - perhaps due to exhaustion trying to get the baby out of the car when she had woken up and realised it was trapped inside or concussion or blood loss or a combination of all three. He then found the baby in the car.

A 40' sailing yacht is berthed at Southampton with the bow facing land. It reverses out of its berth until it is clear of the jetty and sails completely around the world from west to east and returns to Southampton where it reverses into its original berth with the stern now facing the land. Which part of the yacht has travelled the furthest (if any) and why?

What English word retains the same pronunciation, even after you take away four of its five letters?

Queue.

Yes buddy - it was that the crash occurred, the man went to the garage, in the time that passed, she had given birth and then died through childbirth. That's why she was dead and the stranger who he had not seen before was the baby.

Isn't that what I essentially said? I was merely using a euphemism for giving birth.

And I agree with your queue too ... hadn't thought of that one

Edit: ahh boyler has confirmed it while I was posting lol

Edit: oops I meant trev ... been a long day

- In a street there are five houses, painted five different colors.

- In each house lives a person of different nationality.

- These five homeowners each drink a different kind of beverage, smoke different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.

It's a really good one this one, but as I've solved it before I'll leave it for others to figure out

In colours im various a cameleon in change,
through stars, crowns and diamonds i take a wide range,
then, leaving the treasures of nobles and kings,
i turn me to flowers and humbler things,
im uniform always and that you'll think strange,
for one so capricious an instant will change.

What am i?
