You posting that was the first I heard of it. The problem is that the FA seems to have accepted that as the norm and allowed it. No comment is made about united fans singing songs about hillsborough, no comment is made about city fans singing Munich songs. The root of the problem is that such things are somehow accepted. They can't punish one set of fans for doing what many other sets do, although I completely agree they should.
The thing with 1 man making racist gestures (if he did) is that this is something over the top of what the others do.
Personally, the best solutiong would be to breathalyze every fan entering the ground and anyone who wouldnt be allowed to drive isnt allowed in. That would solve many problems which I believe are caused by alcohol.

Darren Fletcher singing "without killing anyone we've won it 3 times" after their champions league win was certainly the most embarrassing scene I have ever witnessed in football. Far more stupid than Balotelli failing to put his bib on even!
Cretin. Glad he's sat at home literally crapping himself. Karma that.

Well Mich, in that case, Norwich, QPR, Villa, Liverpool and every team have isolated John Terry and sang abuse at him.
It is slaunder and when you sing about an incident such as Hillsbough or Munich, no offence but these people are dead and there is a group affected. But when abuse is entirely aimed at one person (Terry) it to me is magnified extremely.
Terry may have said some harsh things, but 90% of football players seem to shout abuse and swear at one another, he isnt a racist and he slept with his mates ex mrs...
I agree, these people arent fans. I would never sing about an horrific incident that has took the lives of people, its nothing but immoral.
Its alright when its "You fat b____" To Frankie, or something like that, but yeah the Terry abuse is so constant.
I'm just raising awareness for Terry.

That is banter though Derry, if it comes out proved he hasn't been racist then yeah it's wrong, but it is also wrong for media to brand him it before he has had his hearing for it.
Happens with so many people and ruins their lives, media spreading malicious rumours around which half the time ruin lives and it isn't true.
^^^ The picture I was on about... if it works.

Yeah thats the problem mate. Their is no solid law against such chanting, they cannot be arrested.
If 6,000 Liverpool fans sang a racist chant then i'd want them all locked up. That fella doing the chimp is an idiot. Lock him up and ban him. (If he is found guilty btw, their may well be an explanation for what he was doing, perhaps he was just cold and about to put his hand in his pocket and its an unfortuante screen grab)
Racism is disgusting, but no more or less disgusting than mocking the dead and rejoicing in their families pain.
Newsflash: 96 was more than enough, thank you. 96 too many in fact.

I dont think the FA can punish the teams for one mans actions. Or even the odd few.
But when 30,000 fans are shouting RACIST RACIST RACIST, "We know what you are, we know what you areeeeee, Oh John Terry, We know what you are"
I think its unfair.
Chelsea don't participate in this sort of banter, we haven't booed Ronaldo, or Rooney, Gerrard or Parker. We might have a "Chelsea reject" here and there, but we also dont have racist/discriminative songs, like the other clubs have and sing on a regular basis.
However, I am a Rangers fan. I have sang numerous songs that are extrmeely offensive, but in large, you are giving what you are recieving from the fans. So Celtic will sing a song, Rangers then reply, Rangers sing a song, Celtic then reply. But when you are broadcasting the message to an entire religon I believe thats fine. I just dont think individual players, managers should be isolated in abuse.

Fairly simple solution, just make teams play behind closed doors. Those real fans will be annoyed with the offending minority, clubs will also miss out on gate receipts and suffer financially. This would hopefully see clubs isolate offenders even more and simple ban them. Couple this with Adam's breathalyser and problem solved. (Probably not )
We also have to remember that there are many young children who are at these games. wouldn't be surprised if some of these (teenagers) also partake in the chants about Hillsborough, Munich etc:
To be honest, i doubt this problem will ever be addressed properly.

As your discussing the Songs relating to people dieing it's unreal I won't say I have never sang any as I would be a lier.
But I saw a video of the Hillsbrough disaster and all you could here is:
'Who's that dying on the runway' we all know the rest
So thearetically from when you say people should be punished for saying these songs and the big 'Disaster' happened thearetically it's something we shouldn't care about as your asking for a punishment.
Say 3,000 people sing a song happy about the fact a disaster took place and people died!!! then you defend them when 96 people die look on your own back door before you judge others!
It's started to annoy me, how many people know like 100+ Stokies died when it first happen in like 1920?(Date is not correct) How many people care?
Football Fans take advantage of players/fans where it hurts the most, if I could sing a song and put you off I will do if you win the battle of the mind then you might aswel thow in the towel and admit defeat before you try.

At least we can all agree that it's a big issue!
It seems like that wasn't clear to people beforehand.

Si, those singing about Munich are just as much scum as those singing about Hillsborough. There is no defence for it, it is disgusting. (Though no such songs took place at the weekend from liverpool fans, as for Youtube... well there you go really!
Football is a working class sport still. Those that sing loudest are working class.
Sadly though, being working class is now seen as something bad when it was seen as something to be proud of historically.
Football fans have played their part in that perception, because they cannot learn to behave with any dignity.
Rejoicing in the deaths of 96 fans at Hillsborough serves no purpose. Singing about a horrific plane crash serves no purpose. Spitting on a Hillsborough memorial serves no purpose.
It's horrible and makes me ashamed to even like football.
People need to grow up, I think. More to life than football, and it really isn't worth the hatred. I don't hate United really. I mean lets face it, what a club they have turned out to be!
I have followed Warrington in rugby all my life. It has the best fans of any sport. The sort of fans who will sing songs that wind up opposition fans straight to their face, and they'd sing another one back. Where the police, instead of treating you like scum, allow you freedom of movement and engage in the banter!
I went to the Leeds V St Helens final at Old Trafford last year in my Warrington kit, knowing full well what I was in for, it is what everybody does!

Lmaooo it is so true of the way they found Suarez guilty of racism, and highlights just how ridiculous their decision was.
Brilliant.

With the difference being that saying it once (to which Suarez admitted) is enough already.
Other than that, fairly funny. We tried our own version on the FSE thread yesterday

In the meantime, my 7-way accumulator is four-sevenths of the way home-
Swansea/Chelsea draw, spurs win, liverpool win, united win.
Now I need villa and fulham to win, Sunderland/Norwich to draw (gulp).
Also have a 9-way accumulator seven-ninths of the way in with two second Bundesliga home wins needed on the weekend.
Thought I'd share

I've got City 2-0, Chelsea 2-0 and West Ham 2-1.
Think Swansea will try and play us at football, they seem quite attacking vs everyone else so will hate it if they park up in the opening minute!
Everton can be difficult but I think City will get there in the end. Might go 1-0 for them actually. Nasri 70th minute! Lol
Also fancy Alloa

Good luck with that whocares doing well so far. I think sunderland will beat Norwich at home how they are playing at the minute.
Some surprising results tonight, man city were unlucky not to get a goal but Everton defended extremely well, Chelsea were lucky to get a point by the seems of it, sounded like they were very poor.

I dont think he says 'C**ns park rangers' tbh... Not on that video evidence anyway.
Yeah done my brollox tonight with the football. Chelsea were completely pathetic. So sick of AVB now, he hasnt a clue. Mata is extremly overrated, he couldnt outpace a turtle. Premier league requires pace... Chelsea dont have any. Cole is slow, hence why he was sent off. Had to go imo.
Torres was missing all game, as too Sturridge, as to Mata, as to Miereles... Luiz and Essien were the only decent players.
Chelsea can't control the ball, the players touch are terrible. Their speed of passing is snail pace and the vision isn't there.
there is no confidence, no spirit, no teamwork, no excitment, no hope really. You look at Spurs, and Modric is zipping balls around the park, scoring, assisting, defending, we dont have a scorer, assister or even a defence.
Malouda, Miereles, Mata, Romeu, Cole, Bosingwa, Torres are missing all game every game.
This is the worst run in Chelsea history for goals. An own goal and a dodgey penalty have saved us. Napoli are going to smash us, United on Sunday are going to embarrase us, and we probably won't get Champions League.
Dare I say it but I can see Chelsea doing an Arsenal....
Then Drogba, Lampard are too old, players leave... and so does Abramovich.
Which leaves Chelsea financial crippled to the point where we go into administration unless we find a buyer...
Glory days are well and truely over.
