Cant really fault Spurs. They just used Liverpools tactic, so Liverpool were like... urm... plan b! Oh crap... we dont have one!

I said to Mich Spurs+1 Even money was a great bet.

Rooney has come out and said Suarez should be given a ban? Hehe.

Chelsea expect to sign Milos Krasic in the summer I'm told!

Will be good I guess, never really watch Italian footbal, but he has the same pace as Walcott on Fifa? Haha. He is quicker than everyone except Walcott and Ronaldo? So yeah wont mind him coming tbh. Plus we can then stick Sturridge left and have Krasic on the right... Mata / Lampard? / Essien and either Drog/Nando.

Think we need a Parker... a Lucas even! Essien and Ramieres can play that role, but Essien is half fit and Ramieres goes mental running around everywhere haha!

So we need someone who loves to play the Makelele/Viera/Keane roll.

But yeah, get Cole and Sturridge on the same flank for club and country.

Krasic and Ivanovic Right flank... both Serbian? Might be but yeah same area! haha

Could even have Terry/Cahill with Luiz just infront? See if the specualtion of him being a CDM has a point?

Everton away at the week... Arsenal had a great week, Chelsea, Spurs, Pool drawing... Chelsea's week was undone...

I'll give AVB until after the Napoli 2nd leg... then I will grill him proper if he hasnt satisfied me.

You should have seen the united fixture coming and tried to sign Howard Webb in the January transfer window. How much did that linesman cost you though?

Just read this... dunno if it is true... Fernando Torres has now played over 1000 minutes without scoring. The last Chelsea player to do this was Petr Cech

Just shows how prolific we are at scoring!

Torres/Kezman/Shevchenko/Mutu <<<

Mikel/Makelele <<<

Were all just as bad.

Still remember Makelele's goal... I think it was against Charlton ha! We were like 2-0 up and already won the league so we gave a pen to Makelele who had never scored for us in years!

Keep saved the woeful penalty and Makelele smashed in the rebound! Haha.

Torres has hit the woodwork a few times, reminds me of Mutu and Kezman, when all they could do was hit the woodwork!

He will come good though... eventually. Soon as he gets some luck... you just know he will score for fun!

Also Sunderland yesterday was a awful game both teams were poo Sunderland are scum and Atkinson gave them everything he's obviously sleeping with their Chairman or something that scum bag!

Also Martin O'Neil is an amazing manager not 1 bad word can I say about him! Think he's a great guy

But on a different side of Sunderland they were singing a chant all match and I couldn't hear the words but it was very very catchy the tune was! If anybody is a Sunderland fan tell me some of the songs so I know it, it only seemed a few lines long but they kept repeating it! So Mackems' do your best and find me the song pleaseeeee lol

How are Sunderland scum exactly? And how did the song go? Could have been the O'Neill song?

Think It went;

"We only sing when we're winning"

Torres will have to shoot to have any chance of scoring! He's never been scared of shooting, but he looks that way atm.

Well considering we sang consistently at the beginning of the season (before Bruce got sacked) that statement must be wrong Michael

(and yes I am implying we were shocking before SB got sacked ) Top of the form table doesn't lie right?

I'm glad your doing well under M O'N. It is another team who will finish above Everton every season now

We'll soon have them relegated.

Nah I don't think Everton will go down as long as they are under Moyes, he's too good a manager to allow it not to happen I think.
And yeah I don't think I've ever seen a manager turn a team around as quickly as O'Neill has for Sunderland in the time I've been watching football, think he might be the Messiah?

Where do I start??
Sunderland is like one big council estate. How it's even classed as a city is beyond me. I'd say Gateshead is more of a city than Sunderland. Have you seen the city center? The only decent area is The Bridges shopping center, and even that is a bit of a mess lets be honest... Your city center is more like an undeveloped, 3rd world highstreet.

As for football, your fans are so deluded it's unreal.. You all seem to think that Sunderland are a world class team, even though you're bang on average, and have done nothing noteworthy in all your 100+ years of existence. You spend more time talking about other clubs than your own... Have you seen SMB lately?? It's full of threads about Newcastle lol. Hilarious considering it's a Sunderland forum.
The amount of laughable transfer predictions you were making in January was the biggest joke of all. When you get a good player in, they realise that they'd have a better time elsewhere, so end up leaving.

The end.

First of all I don't actually live in Sunderland, I just have family from there, (however I am going there this Friday for a few days), but from what I've seen it's quite a nice city, better than where I'm from anyway (Portsmouth) - but I wasn't actually on about the city itself anyway
Our fans are deluded? Just like how Ben Arfa is an amazing player and Cisse is the new number 9 (all important number?) because he scores on his debut.
The SMB doesn't exactly talk for all Sunderland supporters as well does it? Yeah there's some stupid people on there that think we'll win the cup and finish in a European spot easily, but the majority of replies to threads like that are how they're idiots and getting way too ahead of themselves. Also, I find that there's a lot of Newcastle supporters on the SMB, and you lot seem to call us obsessed? And the fact that you know there's a lot of Newcastle threads on there proves it, I don't even think I've been on the Newcastle forum.
In answer to our transfer predictions, the majority of them were Newcastle fans signing up and putting stupid rumours on there, e.g. we'll sign doumbia was the funniest one.

And the funny thing is everything you said doesn't make us scum anyway. By scum I would have expected you to say that we'd done something that would make us worthy of the name.

EDIT: And I just saw that you said we are just a stepping stone for players right? Just like Andy Carroll, Jose Enrique and Joey Barton? Stop being a hypocrite.

You're scum cos you're deluded and your city centre is 'a bit poo'.

Just accept it and move on.....

Here is an actual scum bag though. One of the leading journalists in the country, showing that all so neccesary scouse hatred needed to make it in the business.

Liverpool fan asks him him if there is anything lower than working for Rupert Murdoch. Patrick Barclay replies causing the death of 39 people. Referring to the Heysel disaster.

People have their own opinions on it, Liverpool fans were a part of the problem. The issue is he is using the death of 39 people to score points over some random Liverpool fan in a pointless twitter argument.

He is a Manc of course, but it isn't really an excuse. His ex-colleagues for The Times have not taken it well, and now Joey Barton is laying into the ignorant retard.

Mike what do you expect from journalists? The majority of them are complete wastes of space. Can't stand any of them and what you just posted epitomises SOME of them and their attitudes.

Speaking of Twitter, did anyone see Gary Lineker and Piers Morgan's argument earlier? My respect for Lineker has gone right up after he completely cained Piers Morgan, absolutely hate him (Piers), so up himself.

Well they could at least pretend to be impartial, if he is saying that on twitter for all to see then imagine the stuff he says off the record! :\

And no not seen that, will look for it now. Piers has got some neck. He should be keeping a very low profile, seeing as he has admitted to phone hacking.

I don't think the fact he is a Manc has anything to do with it really, that is just tarring all Manc's with the same brush. Contrary to popular belief there are some good Manc's out there, who you can have a laugh and joke with without them bringing Heysel or Hillsborough up. I think this chaps problem is more down to the fact he has no heart and everytime he gets stumped by a Liverpool fan he brings up the deaths of innocent lives.

Anyone who would defend him are just as bad, any TRUE United fan would not bring up the deaths of innocent lives themselves given their history and the Munich air disaster. And any "fan" from any team who sing/joke/laugh about any of these disasters are disgraceful and are usually just out to cause trouble, and may I repeat for the 40 millionth time the teams do not want to be associated with such heartless morons.

As I said, he is a manc, but it is no excuse. Of course there are good mancs, I have lived with 3 for the past 3 years.

This barclay guy though, he has written Fergies biography called 'Football - Bloody Hell'

It is worrying how these people are paid to give balanced, unbiased opinions on football. It makes me thankful for Twitter, because it doesn't half give a platform for journos to hang themselves.

It seems all this stems from the fact The Times and The Guardian have already sacked him so he's doing odd jobs on TalkSport and it appears he is trying to whip up controversy. Trying to get himself into the limelight again.

He also claimed on Twitter that journalists were instructed to call Suarez a racist too.

paddybarclay Patrick Barclay
To be fair to fellow football writers, most suspected of dubbing Suarez racist had the word put in their mouths, as I did. Not much fun.

Barclay today on talksport: 'My tweet was appallingly naive and I regret it. It was extremely stupid.'

No you don't regret it, Paddy. You regret you said it on twitter for the world to see.

After being to the UK for the football (Villa) for many years now....i think the best song around all stadiums is "fields of Anfield road". Close after that one is "Birmingham, are you listening". , also like the melody of Sloop John B. "don't wanna go home...".
What are your thoughts about songs/chants around the football stadiums?

Love Fields of Anfield Road taken from Fields of Athenry. Also Poor Scouser Tommy is a cracking song as well.

Of course we had the Torres bounce and now we just can't get enough of Luis Suarez.

Favourite song atm though is the "We Love You" song which came from St Pauli originally I think.

It's a beast.

1:21 onwards.

Wooooaaaahhhhhhh Woooooahhhhhhhhh

We have one like that about Lucas Leiva now. It's boss.
