At full time Evra showed the whole world what a vindictive, childish person he is. Suarez should of shook his hand at the start but by the end he should have punched him. Hate Evra with every bone in my body.

Quite calm after our loss, I won 22£ after biting the bullet and sticking 25£ on Utd to win which helped .
Loved the pre and post match pantomime tbh.
My favourite part of the game was where Luis gave Rio a little push and sent him flying into Evra and both of of them went face first into the ground. Lmaoo. Brilliant.
Dunno what Evra was doing at the end, wasn't as if it he was any good in the game, or the game was won by a dramatic winner. The game was over for 2 minutes before the ref blew up cos they were keeping it in the corner.
For our part we were poor on the ball, and let in a soft first goal. We were in a situation where we were either hitting it long and giving them the ball back or playing short and losing it high up the pitch. We needed the first goal I think.
Oh well, 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss to them this season. Goal difference of 0. Think we both won the one we wanted. Us in the cup them in the league.
Cya next season Patrice! Unless Utd see sense and sell you!

I wish he'd punched him- that would've gotten him a 4-5 game ban with all his previous suspensions.

It is better in Rugby. Player punches another player in the face.
Gets told to calm down.
Game commences.

Nice work Evra! Wonder how many times he practised making it look like Suarez didn't try to shake his hand.

"Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club," said United manager Ferguson. "He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again. He could have caused a riot."
Hahaha. Great from Fergie. Comedy gold. Like a drunk Grandad. Not your worries how we treat our players Bacon face.
Needs to keep his own house in order. This from a man who said "typical Germans" after Bayern knocked them out of Europe. From a man who witnessed and supported Roy Keane purposely end the career of Alfingher Haaland, and before that Eric Cantona Kung Fu kick a fella in the crowd.
Pipe down Taggart!
Danish Channel 6 reporting Daniel Agger offered Rio Ferdinand to meet outside for a fight!
Dagger would murder him!
@luis16suarez
We lost and we are sad because we have made a big effort... Disappointed because everything is not that it seems...
Chin up Luis. All real reds are behind you!

Can't understand one little bit why all you Liverpool fans keep supporting Suarez.
If an idiotic moron like Suarez was playing for Newcastle, there's no way in hell I'd support him... Letting him give my club a bad name.. If Evra was playing for Liverpool & Suarez for Man Utd, and this same situation happened, you'd absolutely hate Suarez. Open your eyes and realise that he's the idiot here not Evra.
It's frustrating how blind you all are lol. Everyone in the world can see it, but the Liverpool fans are just completely oblivious and think Suarez is the best thing since sliced bread.

I think it's a good job Rio got in the way, might have been end of game for both Evra and Suarez if he didnt, Evra going off with a straight red and Suarez going off on a stretcher...

adam- that's exactly what I thought when I was watching it.
jack_pot- completely agree. I haven't heard many people and don't know anyone who is not a Liverpool fan support Suarez in this whole saga.

Woops.

Here is a woops:
Ferguson pre match.."We havent discussed shaking hands.", Ferguson Postmatch, We spoke about it this morning."!
The guy wants to lay off the whiskey and he may become more coherent!
It is quite obvious why Liverpool fans support Suarez. 1) He is their player and 2) the more the press tell us to hate somebody the less likely we are of going with it.
Look at the footballing world crying over racism, condemning Suarez for not shaking Evras hand. Marlon King beating women up, Djibril Cisse beat his wife, so too did Andy Carroll. Lee Hughes has been in prison for manslaughter, and now charged with sexual assault. Titus Bramble is in court at the moment charged with r@pe. Jordan Cousins has just been accused of r@ping a 12 year old girl.
Take a step back and put things into perspective because it's embarassing. Luis Suarez is down under a list of minor offences, the most serious being biting someone like a big girl.
What has Suarez actually done today? Refused to shake hands.
That self same act Sky were ridiculing when Sep Blatter raised it a months ago.
Why should Suarez shake Evras hand? He doesn't like the lad. He has been fined 40K and banned for 8 games in his mind unfairly.
I don't shake hands with people I do like, let alone those I can't stand!
Anyway, let those without sin cast the first stone. If you dabble in a bit of racism, have a chuckle at a racist joke then bore off, drop the outrage and stop being a hypocrite.

Oh and I have to wonder what is worse? Suarez saying Negro 5, 7, 8 or 10 times (depending on what day of the week you ask Evra) or the death threats Lynsey Dalglish is receiving tonight on twitter aimed at her, her child her mother and her father.
Lets face it, it will not be long before Suarez receives the same through the post, and I'm sure they won't stop at him either. His wife, his kid.
The same of Patrice Evra as well.
This is what I mean about perspective. This is why Sky should be trying to calm the public rather than adding petrol to the flames on their news channel for the past 14 hours.
This is why these articles should be left inside the heads of middle aged men in fleet street rather than published for their sheep to read:
At worst Suarez has been racist. Racism is wrong, but perspective needed urgently!

Sorry but this is one of the most embarrassing posts I've ever seen :s
Suarez actually came out an said sorry for not shaking Evra's hand, how much more evidence do you need?

I got to agree lyle, Suarez has made a public apology during the Wolves West Brom match to show he was in the wrong.
Stop sticking up for the pathetic player and in all fairness that tackle I would happily see Evra sent of for 3 matches to brake his leg I hate him!
I have spoken with the manager since the game at Old Trafford and I realise I got things wrong," said Suarez in a statement on Liverpool's official website.
"I've not only let him down, but also the club and what it stands for and I'm sorry. I made a mistake and I regret what happened.
"I should have shaken Patrice Evra's hand before the game and I want to apologise for my actions.
"I would like to put this whole issue behind me and concentrate on playing football."
Dalglish had revealed before the match that he was expecting Suarez to shake Evra's hand in the first meeting between the two players since the incident back in the autumn.
Suarez refuses handshake
.
Suarez's snub prompted United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to label the forward 'a disgrace' and suggest he should not play for Liverpool again.
Speaking after the game, Dalglish said he was unaware that Suarez had not shaken Evra's hand and felt it was unfair to blame the former Ajax attacker for any flashpoints on Saturday.
There was a tunnel bust-up between the players at half-time, while Evra's full-time celebrations after United's 2-1 win also drew criticism.

Ian Ayre Liverpool Managing Director:
We are extremely disappointed Luis Suarez did not shake hands with Patrice Evra before yesterday's game," said Ayre in a statement. "The player had told us beforehand that he would, but then chose not to do so.
"He was wrong to mislead us and wrong not to offer his hand to Patrice Evra.
"He has not only let himself down, but also Kenny Dalglish, his team-mates and the club. It has been made absolutely clear to Luis Suarez that his behaviour was not acceptable.
"Luis Suarez has now apologised for his actions which was the right thing to do.
"However, all of us have a duty to behave in a responsible manner and we hope that he now understands what is expected of anyone representing Liverpool Football Club."

Kenny has also apologised for his interview after the match will get his exact quote when it comes through!

Dalglish also criticised the media for its role in the build-up to the contest, but the Liverpool boss has now apologised for his own conduct.
"Ian Ayre has made the club's position absolutely clear and it is right that Luis Suarez has now apologised for what happened at Old Trafford," said Dalglish.
"To be honest, I was shocked to hear that the player had not shaken hands having been told earlier in the week that he would do.
"But as Ian said earlier, all of us have a responsibility to represent this club in a fit and proper manner and that applies equally to me as Liverpool manager.
"When I went on TV after yesterday's game I hadn't seen what had happened, but I did not conduct myself in a way befitting of a Liverpool manager during that interview and I'd like to apologise for that."

Just want to quickly mention how proud I am of my Chelsea team at the moment. First loss of 2012, was a shock considering how brilliant we have been recently.
I think that will probably be our last ever defeat if we manage to replicate our current form in future matches.
Can't wait, we might even qualify for Europa! Sooo excited! I know if we qualify, there will be teams like FC Sion, Montpellier and Shamrock Rovers - so we have no chance of winning, but the highlight of playing such team has given me a glow.
